இந்தப் பிரச்சனை தொடர்பாக பு.ஜ.தொ.மு – ஐ.டி ஊழியர்கள் பிரிவு ஒரு பத்திரிகையாளர் சந்திப்பு நடத்தவிருக்கிறது.

இந்த பத்திரிகையாளர் சந்திப்பில் கலந்து கொண்டு ஐ.டி/ஐ.டி சேவை நிறுவனங்களில் நடந்து வரும் ஆட்குறைப்பு நடவடிக்கை பற்றிய செய்தியை வெளியிடும்படி கேட்டுக் கொள்கிறோம்.

2017-ம் ஆண்டு ஐ.டி/ஐ.டி சேவைத் துறை ஊழியர்களுக்கு ஒரு கொடுங்கனவாக விடிந்திருக்கிறது.

• காக்னிசன்ட் நிறுவனத்தில் 5% ஊழியர்கள் வேலை இழப்பு
• விப்ரோவில் ஆயிரக்கணக்கான மூத்த ஊழியர்கள் வெளியேற்றப்படுதல்
• ஆயிரத்துக்கும் மேல் கேப்ஜெமினி ஊழியர்கள் பணிநீக்கம்
• டெக் மகிந்த்ரா ஆட்குறைப்பு
• ஐ.பி.எம் ஒப்பந்த ஊழியர்கள் வேலை நீக்கம்

என்று அடுத்தடுத்த தாக்குதலை எதிர் கொண்டிருக்கின்றனர் ஐ.டி ஊழியர்கள்.

இந்தத் தாக்குதலை எதிர்த்தும் ஆட்குறைப்பு நடவடிக்கைகளால் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட விப்ரோ, காக்னிசன்ட் மற்றும் பிற நிறுவன ஊழியர்களுக்கு ஆதரவாகவும் புதிய ஜனநாயகத் தொழிலாளர் முன்னணி – ஐ.டி ஊழியர்கள் பிரிவு வரும் மே 18-ம் தேதி சென்னை சோழிங்கநல்லூர் சிக்னல் அருகில் மாலை 5 மணி முதல் 7 மணி வரை ஆர்ப்பாட்டம் நடத்தவுள்ளது.

உயர் ஊதியம், விரல் நகத்தில் அழுக்குப்படாத அலுவலக வேலை, ஆடம்பரமான வாழ்க்கை என்று சமூகத்தின் சலுகை பெற்ற பிரிவினராக பார்க்கப்பட்ட ஐ.டி ஊழியர்கள் இன்னொரு பக்கம் இரவு பகலாக கடும் வேலைப் பளு, நிச்சயமற்ற பணி வாழ்வு, மோசடியான அப்ரைசல் முறை போன்றவற்றின் காரணமாக மன அழுத்தம், சக ஊழியர்களுடன் ஆரோக்கியமற்ற போட்டி என்று பலவகைகளிலும் பாதிக்கப்படுகின்றனர்.

இப்போது அனைத்துக்கும் உச்சகட்டமாக, எதற்காக எல்லாவற்றையும் சகித்துக் கொண்டார்களோ அந்தப் பணிவாழ்வையே பறித்து எறிய ஆரம்பித்திருக்கின்றன கார்ப்பரேட்டுகள். வேலை வாய்ப்புகளை உருவாக்குவதாக சலுகை விலை நிலம், வரி தள்ளுபடி, தடையற்ற மின்சாரம் என்று அரசால் ஊக்குவிக்கப்படும் இந்நிறுவனங்கள் பன்னாட்டு நிதி நிறுவன முதலீட்டாளர்களுக்கு கோடிகளை குவிப்பதற்காக நம் நாட்டு ஊழியர்களின் பணி வாழ்வை பலி கொடுக்கின்றனர். பாதிக்கப்பட்ட ஊழியர்கள் மன அழுத்தம், குடும்பப் பிரச்சனை, எதிர்காலம் குறித்த பயம் என கடும் நெருக்கடிக்கு உள்ளாகின்றனர்.

அது மட்டுமின்றி ஐ.டி துறை கனவில் பல லட்சம் செலவழித்து படித்து விட்டு திரண்டு நிற்கும் இளைஞர்களின் எதிர்காலத்திலும் மண்ணை அள்ளிப் போட்டு வருகின்றன லாபம் குவிக்கும் எந்திரங்களான ஐ.டி துறையில் இயங்கும் கார்ப்பரேட்டுகள்.

சக உழைக்கும் வர்க்கம் என்ற வகையில் ஐ.டி ஊழியர்களுடன் தோளோடு தோள் நின்று போராட களம் இறங்கியிருக்கின்றனர் பிற துறைகளில் பணி புரியும் பு.ஜ.தொ.மு தொழிலாளர்கள். பு.ஜ.தொ.முவைச் சேர்ந்த நூற்றுக்கணக்கான தொழிலாளர்கள் ஐ.டி ஊழியர்களுடன் இணைந்து பிரச்சாரம் மேற்கொள்ளவிருக்கின்றனர்.

மேலும், பாதிக்கப்பட்ட ஊழியர்களை திரட்டி தொழிலாளர் துறையில் தொழில்தாவா தாக்கல் செய்வது, பத்திரிகையாளர் சந்திப்பு நடத்துவது என்றும் இந்தப் பிரச்சனை சட்ட ரீதியாகவும் ஊடகங்களிலும் பரவலாக கொண்டு செல்லப்பட உள்ளது.

தமிழகத்தின் சென்னை, கோவை நகரங்களில் மட்டுமின்றி பெங்களூரு, ஹைதராபாத், புனே/மும்பை, கொல்கத்தா போன்ற நகரங்களிலும் இந்த ஆட்குறைப்பு நடவடிக்கைகளால் பாதிக்கப்பட்ட ஊழியர்கள் மத்தியில் பிரச்சாரம், சட்டப் போராட்டம் நடத்தப்பட உள்ளது.

கடந்த 25 ஆண்டுகளாக நம்மை பிடித்து ஆட்டிக் கொண்டிருக்கும் தனியார் மயம், தாராள மயம், உலக மயம் என்ற நமது நாட்டு மக்களையும், இயற்கை வளங்களையும் பன்னாட்டு நிறுவனங்களின் காலனிய அடிமையாக்கும் கொள்கைகளை எதிர்த்த உழைக்கும் மக்களின் மீண்டும் ஒரு சுதந்திரப் போராட்டத்தில் ஐ.டி ஊழியர்களையும் அமைப்பாக ஒருங்கிணைத்து இணைப்பதற்கு பு.ஜ.தொ.மு ஐ.டி ஊழியர் பிரிவு உறுதி கொண்டுள்ளது.

விப்ரோ, காக்னிசன்ட், டெக் மகிந்த்ரா, கேப்ஜெமினி மற்றும் பிற ஐ.டி நிறுவனங்கள் பல்வேறு பெயர்களில் மோசடியாக செய்யப்படும் ஆட்குறைப்பு நடவடிக்கையை உடனடியாக நிறுத்த வேண்டும் எனவும், கட்டாய பணிவிலகல் கடிதம் வாங்கப்பட்ட ஊழியர்கள் அனைவரையும் மீண்டும் பணியில் சேர்த்துக் கொள்ள வேண்டும் எனவும் அப்ரைசல் என்ற மோசடி பணிமதிப்பீட்டு முறையை ரத்து செய்ய வேண்டும் என்றும் பு.ஜ.தொ.மு ஐ.டி ஊழியர்கள் பிரிவு வலியுறுத்துகிறது.

ஐ.டி/ஐ.டி சேவை துறை ஊழியர்கள் அனைவரும் சட்ட விரோத, நியாயமற்ற, தொழில்முறையற்ற ஆட்குறைப்புக்கு எதிராக அணிதிரளுமாறும், அப்ரைசல் முறையை ஒழித்துக் கட்டி தொழிற்சங்கம் மூலம் பணியிடத்தில் ஜனநாயகத்தை நிறுவி ஆரோக்கியமான சூழலை உருவாக்குமாறும் பு.ஜ.தொ.மு அழைப்பு விடுக்கிறது.

2017 is proving to be a nightmare year for employees in IT/ITES sector.

• Cognizant deliberately pushes 7.5% of its workforce into 4th bucket and forces them to resign;
• Wipro throws out its senior most employes with years of service under the so called “Band Intertia”;
• Tech Mahnidra announces thousands of job cuts;
• IBM terminates services of contract employees;
• Capegemini sends out thousands of employees;

the attack on employees is brutal and relentless.

To combat these attacks and in solidarity with employees affected by these illegal retrenchments New Democratic Labour Front  – IT Employees Wing will hold a demonstration in Chennai OMR, near Sholinganallur signal on May 18th, 2017 from 5 pm to 7 pm.

Generally, IT employees are looked upon as a privileged section of the society with relatively high salary, comfortable work in airconditioned offices and better lifestyle. On the otherside, they are continuously oppressed by several problems like heavy work load spanning day and night, lack of job security, mental pressure and unhealthy competition due to the unscientific, non-transparent appraisal process and so on.

To top all these, after years of slogging through all these pressures, their working career itself is jeopadized by the corporates. Central and state governments vie with each other to shower subsidized land, low cost uninterrupted electcitiy supply and tax holidays to the corporates. It is claimed that corporates will create employment opportunities for our youth. But, these companies sacrifice the working life of their employees for pleasing the global financial elites with ever higher rates of profits. This illegal, unfair and inhuman act by these corporates pushes the lives of employees into grave crisis leading to psychological issues, marital problems and in some cases even to suicide.

Also, the hopes of several lakh educated youth, who spent lakhs of rupees on private educaiton for a career in IT sector have been dashed by this mad profit hunt by the corporates.

Workers from other industries belonging to NDLF express their solidarity with the struggle of their IT sector counter parts. Industrial workers from NDLF will join IT/ITES employees in conducting mass campaign against these illegal retrenchments.

NDLF is taking up this struggle on legal front also by organizing affected employees to file grievance petitions with the labour comissioner. Facts and figures about the illegal activities of IT companies will be taken to the media.

In addition to employees from Chennai and Coimbatore of Tamil Nadu, affected employees in Bengaluru, Hyderabad, Pune/Mumbai and Kolkata are also organized for legal and mass campaigns.

Privatization, Liberalizaion, Globalization policies pursued by successive governments for the past 25 years opened up people of our country and its natural resouces to the unchecked exploitation by multinatinoal corporates. It is high time IT Employees to organize as union and join the struggles waged by people of beloved country against these policies.

We demand Wipro, Cognizant, Tech Mahnidra, Cape Gemini and other IT companies to Stop the illegal retrenchments immediately , Take back all employees forced to resign and Cancel the unscientific appraisal rating system.

We call upon employees of IT/ITES sector to protest against the illegal, unfair and unprofessional retrenchments, organize as trade union and get rid of the appraisal rating system and create a democratic work place.
