ஈழத் தமிழினப் படுகொலைக்கு வாழ்த்து: ஐ.நா. மனித உரிமை கவுன்சிலின் கேலிக்கூத்து!

முள்ளிவாக்காலில் இலங்கை இராணுவம் நடத்திய இறுதித் தாக்குதலில் மட்டும் சுமார் 25,000-க்கும் மேற்பட்ட ஈழத்தமிழ் மக்கள் கொல்லப்பட்டிருக்கின்றனர். பலநூறு பேர் படுகாயமுற்றும், உடல் ஊனமுற்றும் மருத்துவ வசதிகள் இல்லாமல் அல்லலுறுகின்றனர். மூன்று இலட்சத்திற்கும் மேற்பட்ட மக்கள் அரசு கண்காணிப்பு முகாமில் எந்த அடிப்படை வசதிகளுமின்றி அவதிப்படுகின்றனர். இப்படி தட்டிக்கேட்க ஆளின்றி இலங்கை அரசு நடத்திவரும் அட்டூழியங்கள் குறிப்பாக, புலம்பெயர்ந்த தமிழ் மக்களிடம் ஆத்திரத்தை தோற்றுவித்து அவர்களும் மேலைநாடுகளில் தொடர்ச்சியாக போராடி வந்தனர். இது இங்கிலாந்து மற்றும் சில ஐரோப்பிய நாடுகளுக்கு ஓரளவு நெருக்கடியைத் தோற்றுவித்தது. இதை தணிப்பதற்கு மேலைநாடுகள் முயன்றபோது கை கொடுத்ததுதான் ஐ.நா.சபை தீர்மானம்.

சுவிட்சர்லாந்து தலைநகரம் ஜெனிவாவில் ஐ.நா.சபையின் மனித உரிமைக் கவுன்சில் உள்ளது. இதில் இலங்கை, இந்தியாவையும் உள்ளிட்டு 47 நாடுகள் உறுப்பினர்களா உள்ளன. 2006-ஆம் ஆண்டு முதல் செயயல்பட்டு வரும் இந்தக் கவுன்சில், உண்மையில் எந்தவித அதிகாரமும் அற்ற ஒரு அலங்காரக் கவுன்சிலாகும். குறிப்பிட்ட நாடு மனித உரிமை மீறலில் ஈடுபட்டிருப்பதாக இந்தக் கவுன்சில் ஒரு தீர்மானத்தை நிறைவேற்றினாலும், அந்த நாட்டில் இதை வைத்தே தலையிடுவதற்கு இந்தக் கவுன்சிலுக்கு அதிகாரம் இல்லை. அதை ஐ.நா. பொதுச்சபை விவாதித்து பாதுகாப்பு கவுன்சில் அங்கீகரித்தால்தான் செய்ய முடியும்.

இந்நிலையில் மனித உரிமைக் கவுன்சிலில் சுவிட்சர்லாந்து அரசு இலங்கை நடத்திய போர் மீது ஒரு தீர்மானத்தை கொண்டு வர முயன்றது. பலரும் நினைத்துக் கொண்டிருப்பது போன்று இந்த தீர்மானம் இலங்கை அரசின் இனப்படுகொலையை கண்டித்து எழுதப்பட்டதல்ல. மாறாக, புலிகள்தான் மக்களை பணயக்கைதிகளா பிடித்து வைத்திருந்ததாகவும் அவர்கள்தான் சிவிலியன்கள் மீது தாக்குதல் நடத்தியதாகவும், அதையும் உள்ளிட்டு ஏனைய மனித உரிமை மீறல்களை இலங்கை அரசே விசாரிக்க வேண்டுமெனவும் இந்தத் தீர்மானம் முன்மொழிந்தது. மற்றபடி, சிங்கள இராணுவத்தின் போர்க்குற்றங்கள் குறித்து இந்தத் தீர்மானம் தந்திரமாக மவுனம் சாதித்தது. இதுபோக, இடம்பெயர்ந்த மக்கள் மீண்டும் அவர்களது சோந்த இடத்திற்குப் போக வழி ஏற்படுத்துதல், முகாமில் இருக்கும் மக்களுக்கு அடிப்படை வசதிகள் கொடுப்பது, சர்வதேச தொண்டு நிறுவனங்களை இம்முகாம்களுக்கு அனுமதித்தல் முதலியவையும் இந்த தீர்மானத்தில் இருந்தன.

இந்த டுபாக்கூர் தீர்மானத்தைத்தான் ஊடகங்கள் ஏதோ இலங்கையின் போர்க் குற்றங்களைத் தண்டிக்கப் போகின்ற மாபெரும் நடவடிக்கையாகச் சித்தரித்தன. ஆனால், இந்த மயிலிறகு தீர்மானத்தைக்கூட இலங்கை சகித்துக் கொள்ளத் தயாராக இல்லை. வாக்கெடுப்புக்கு வந்தபோது தீர்மானத்திற்கு ஆதரவாக சுவிட்சர்லாந்து, ஜெர்மனி, இங்கிலாந்து, பிரான்சு, இத்தாலி, கனடா, சிலி, மெக்சிகோ உள்ளிட்ட 17 நாடுகள் வாக்களித்தன. எதிராக இந்தியா, சீனா, பாகிஸ்தான், ரசியா, மலேசியா உள்ளிட்ட 22 நாடுகள் வாக்களிக்க, எட்டு நாடுகள் நடுநிலைமை வகிக்க, இறுதியில் சுவிட்சர்லாந்து தீர்மானம் தோல்வியடைந்தது.

இதன் கூடவே இலங்கை அரசு மற்றொரு தீர்மானத்தை முன்மொழிந்தது. இதில் இலங்கையில் பயங்கரவாதிகளை வீழ்த்திய இலங்கை அரசுக்கு வாழ்த்து, மற்றும் ‘பணயக்கைதிகளா’ பிடிபட்டிருக்கும் மக்களை மீட்டு ‘மனித உரிமையை’ நிலைநாட்டிய இலங்கை இராணுவத்துக்கு பாராட்டு, முகாமிலிருக்கும் மக்களின் மறுவாழ்வுக்கு சர்வதேச நாடுகள் உதவுதற்கான வேண்டுகோள் எல்லாம் உண்டு. இப்படி ஆடுகளுக்கா அழும் ஓநாயின் தீர்மானத்திற்கு ஆதரவா 29 வாக்குகளும், எதிராக 12 வாக்குகளும் கிடைக்க, 6 நாடுகள் நடுநிலை வகித்து தீர்மானம் நிறைவேற்றப்பட்டது. இது குறித்து ஐ.நா.வுக்கான இலங்கைப் பிரதிநிதி தயான் ஜெயதிலகே கூறும் போது “மனித உரிமைக் கவுன்சில் தனது எண்ணத்தை மிகச்சிறப்பாக வெளிப்படுத்தியுள்ளதாக” பாராட்டு தெரிவித்திருக்கிறார்.

இப்படி எல்லா ஐசுவரியங்களும் கூடிவர, இலங்கை தனது போர்க்குற்றங்களுக்கு ஐ.நா. சபை மூலம் பூமாலை சூடிக்கொண்டது. இதுபோக, இலங்கை வந்த ஐ.நா. பொதுச் செயலாளர் பான் கி மூன், இலங்கை அரசை பகிரங்கமாகப் பாராட்டியதும் குறிப்பிடத்தக்கது. ஆனால், ஐ.நா. மனித உரிமைக் கவுன்சிலின் இந்த காக்கா தீர்மானத்தை சர்வதேச மனித உரிமை அமைப்புக்களும், தன்னார்வக் குழுக்களும், ஈழ ஆர்வலர்களும் கண்டித்திருக்கின்றன. எனினும், ஐ.நா. சபையின் பின்னணியில் மேலை நாடுகள் நடத்தியிருக்கும் இந்த நாடகத்தின் நோக்கம் என்ன?

முதலில் ஐ.நா. சபை என்பது ஏகாதிபத்தியங்களின் அரசியல் நோக்கத்திற்கு சேவை செய்யும் பஜனை சங்கமாகும். குறிப்பாக, அமெரிக்காவின் நோக்கத்திற்கேற்ப இசுரேலின் மனித உரிமை மீறலை அங்கீகரிக்க வேண்டுமா, வடகொரியா, கியூபாவை மிரட்ட வேண்டுமா – இதற்கெல்லாம் ஐ.நா. அம்பிகள் தவறாமல் ஆஜராவார்கள். அமெரிக்காவின் நலனுக்கு எதிராகச் சென்றார் என்பதற்காக யூகோஸ்லாவிய அதிபர் மிலசோவிச்சை, போஸ்னிய முசுலீம்களை கொன்றார், போர்க்குற்றங்களைச் செய்தார் என்று சர்வதேச நீதிமன்றத்தில் விசாரித்தார்கள். விசாரணை நடக்கும்போதே மிலசோவிச் உடல் நலக்குறைவால் மரணம் அடைந்தார். அதேபோல, பேரழிவு ஆயுதங்கள் இருப்பதாக ஒரு பச்சைப் பொயைக் கூறி ஈராக்கின் எண்ணெ வயல்களுக்காக அந்நாட்டை ஆக்கிரமித்த அமெரிக்கா, அதிபர் சதாம் உசேனைப் பிடித்து, அவர் ஒரு ஷியா கிராமத்தில் 113 மக்கள் கொல்லப்படுவதற்கு காரணமாயிருந்தார் எனக் குற்றம் சாட்டி, அமெரிக்க கைக்கூலிகளால் நடத்தப்பட்ட ஈராக் நீதிமன்றத்தில் அவசரமாக விசாரிக்க வைத்து, தூக்கிலேற்றி கதையை முடித்தது.

இதனால் மிலசோவிச்சும், சதாம் உசேனும் அப்பாவிகள், தவறேதும் செய்யாதவர்கள் என வாதிடவில்லை. ஆனால், அமெரிக்கா போடும் மனித உரிமை நாடகம்தான் முக்கியமானது. இதே சதாம் உசேனுக்கு வேதியியல் ஆயுதம் கொடுத்து, அதை அவர் ஈரான் மீதான போரில் பயன்படுத்தி பல வீரர்களைக் கொன்றதை விசாரித்தால், சாதாமுக்கு உதவிய அமெரிக்க ஏகாதிபத்தியவாதிகளைத் தூக்கிலேற்ற வேண்டியிருக்கும். இதேபோன்று சதாம் உசேன் குர்தீஷ் மக்களை ஒடுக்கியதை விசாரித்தால், கூடவே அமெரிக்காவின் அடியாள் துருக்கியின் அத்துமீறலையும் விசாரிக்க வேண்டியிருக்கும். வட கொரியா அணு ஆயுத சோதனை நடத்தியதால் சர்வதேச பொருளாதாரத் தடை விதிக்கப்பட்டிருக்கிறது. இதே சோதனையை அமெரிக்காவின் கூட்டாளிகள் இந்தியாவும், பாகிஸ்தானும் செய்திருந்தாலும் அந்த தடையை அமல்படுத்துமாறு அமெரிக்கா கோரவில்லை.

எனவே இந்த உலகில் இனப்படுகொலையும், போர்க்குற்றங்களையும் செய்து வரும் அரசுகள் எல்லாம் அமெரிக்காவின் விருப்பத்திற்கேற்ப கண்டுகொள்ளாமலோ அல்லது விசாரிக்கப்படவோ செய்யப்படும். எல்லாவற்றுக்கும் மேலாக, அமெரிக்காவின் அத்துமீறலை மட்டும் வாயளவில் கூட யாரும் அதிகாரப்பூர்வமாக கண்டிக்க முடியாது. இதுதான் நிலைமை என்றால், இலங்கை அரசு அதன் போர்க்குற்றங்களுக்காக விசாரிக்கப்படவில்லை என்பதன் முக்கிய காரணம் அமெரிக்காவும் அதன் அணியிலுள்ள மேலை நாடுகளும் அதை கண்டுகொள்ளாமல் விடவே விரும்பியதெனலாம். மற்றபடி, ஐரோப்பிய நாடுகளில் போராடிய ஈழத்தமிழ் மக்களுக்கு ஒரு மன ஆறுதலாக இருக்கட்டும் என்பதற்காகவே சுவிட்சர்லாந்து தீர்மானம் உயிரின்றி கொண்டு வரப்பட்டது. இப்படி இந்த விசயத்தில் மேற்கத்திய நாடுகள் பச்சையான அழுகுணி ஆட்டம் நடத்தியிருக்கின்றன.

எனவே, இந்த தீர்மானத்தை ஒட்டி ஏற்பட்ட இருவேறு அணிகளில் பெரிய சண்டையோ சச்சரவோ ஏதுமில்லை என்பதும் முக்கியம். இருப்பினும், இலங்கை அரசுக்கு வெளிப்படையான ஆதரவு கொடுக்க ரசியா, சீனா முதலிய நாடுகள் முன்வரக் காரணம், இந்தியப் பெருங்கடலில் அமெரிக்காவிற்குப் போட்டியாக இலங்கையை ஒரு தளமாக பயன்படுத்த வேண்டுமென்ற ஆசைதான். அமெரிக்காவின் அணியிலிருக்கும் பாகிஸ்தான், இலங்கையை ஆதரித்ததற்கு – அது ஏராளமான ஆயுதங்களை விற்றதும், இந்தியாவுக்கு போட்டியாக இலங்கையை தாஜா செய்ய வேண்டுமென்ற காரணங்கள் இருக்கின்றன. இந்தியாவோ ஈழத்தில் மறைமுகப் போரை நடத்தி இலங்கைக்கு உற்ற துணைவனாக இருந்தாலும், அதைவிட இலங்கை சீனா பக்கம் சாவதால் ராஜபக்சேயை ஆதரிக்க வேண்டிய நிர்ப்பந்தம். கூடவே மனித உரிமை விசாரணை வந்தால் ஆயுதங்கள் கொடுத்த வகையில் இந்தியாவும், சீனாவும், பாக்.கும் கூட விசாரணைக்கு பதில் சோல்ல வேண்டுமென்ற நிர்ப்பந்தம் -இவையெல்லாம் சேர்ந்து இந்த நாடுகள் சிங்கள அரசை ஆதரிக்க வைத்திருக்கின்றன.

அமெரிக்காவின் பல்லாண்டுத் தடைகளை மீறி உயிர்த்திருப்பதற்குப் போரடும் கியூபா, எப்போதும் அமெரிக்காவின் எதிர்ப்பு அணியிலேயே இருக்குமென்பதால் அந்நாடு இலங்கைக்கு ஆதரவா வாக்களித்தது. இப்படி எல்லா அரசியல் புறச்சூழல்களும் பொருத்தமாக கூடி வந்ததால், ராஜபக்சே அரசு தனது இனப்படுகொலைக்கு சர்வதேச நாடுகளிடம் பாராட்டு வாங்க முடிந்திருக்கிறது.
இலங்கை அரசை ஒப்புக்குக் கூட சர்வதேச நாடுகள் கண்டிக்க முன்வரவில்லையே என ஈழத்து மக்களிடம் ஒரு விரக்தி இருக்கிறது. ஆனால், உலகமய காலகட்டத்தில் ஏகாதிபத்திய எதிர்ப்பும் அதற்கெதிரான உலக மக்களின் ஆதரவும் இல்லாமல், ஒரு தேசிய இன விடுதலைப் போராட்டம் வெல்லவோ, நீடித்திருக்கவோ முடியாது என்ற பாடத்தையும் அவர்கள் இதிலிருந்து கற்றுக்கொண்டு தங்களது போராட்டத்தை தொடரவேண்டும்.

Injustice and Inequality in an unfair world

“Life is not fair” is a phrase that always echoes in the far corners of this Earth. A fifteen year old boy may have to work sixteen hours a day, in a poor African country just to get one meal a day for his sick mother and five siblings. This may not be the case in many other places in the world. Even the rulers of some poor countries, could be using gold plated toilets and marble baths while the poor hunt for bread crumps in rubbish dumps.

We are now so used to living with other people money without any shame. Resources on this earth are not distributed fairly among its inhabitants. We have built intelligent systems to steal, what belongs to others. Our banks no longer focus much on their traditional roles, instead they employ rocket scientists to build sophisticated gambling machines in order to rob the poor and give to the rich.

Corrupt regimes, can to some extent be blamed for the misery of people in their lands. Instead of setting the people free from such regimes, some of the big players use this as an opportunity to exploit the vulnerable people for their own selfish gains.

Value of life is not the same in every country. When the twin towers fell and three thousands perished, we all knelt down and wept. The whole world came to a stop for few minutes. We declared “War on Terror” against each and every single armed group in the world, including the ones that are genuinely fighting to free their communities from oppressive governments. Hands of the oppressed were tied and the weapons were given to many corrupt Nations. This is what we call Justice today.

Four hundred thousands were slaughtered in Darfur, Eight hundred thousands perished in Rwanda because the terror regimes in these countries were driven by ignorance and greed. No leader in the world declared “War on Genocide” even after seeing millions of deaths. Instead, some of the world powers aided genocide in these poor countries.

Although, the world media still stick with the figure of seventy thousands, the actual number of people, perished in the Sri Lankan civil war is around three hundred thousands. Fifty thousands were killed just within a short period of time in the recent war in Sri Lanka.

We have millions of evidences to prove that a systematic genocide is taking place in Sri Lanka while the Nations are watching. Neither UN nor any other world power is being able to stop the madness that is still going on in this country.

Security Council no longer agree on any decisions that are vital to save the vulnerable and oppressed people on this earth. Permanent members use their Veto powers just to cover their own dirt and to protect the other bullies in their club.

Our parliamentarians are hanging on to their positions and they are forced to sort out their expense claims to keep their jobs. Leaders of some powerful nations are not being able to focus on the real issues because they are chased after, to give explanations for things they did when they were teenagers. Senior staffs in the UN no longer have the freedom to do what is right. They have to dance according to the tunes played by their masters who have conflicting interests. It has now become a common practice that the leaders in the UN and top diplomats speak the truth only after their retirement.

We have robust systems in place, to protect the criminals and torment the victims. Our legal systems are so advanced that diplomats and politicians have to think hundred times, before making any comments. Just to make life easier, they keep their mouths shut even at times it is important to speak out.

Even during a humanitarian crisis, our leaders would still act like electronic parrots who can only repeat the same recorded words that would comply with national and international laws, just to make sure that they hang on to their jobs. The world is dying for leaders who can at least use their basic common sense to help the persecuted people on this planet.

We talk about political correctness. We are very concerned about little things but we turn a deaf ear, when the real-world calamities strike the mankind. We are planning to stop using Christmas lights in our towns because we think it will offend people from other religions. We are supposed to write “Traces of Nuts” on peanut packets. Doctors have to break their heads before writing prescriptions, because most of the drugs have side affects. They will be sued if something goes wrong. We have been very successful in sending many talented doctors, writers and politicians to the prisons and letting the criminals to roam around our cities.

Praising the Sri Lankan regime for slaughtering thousands of innocents and letting the Tamils to languish in the concentration camps is another example that we have become real hypocrites and jokers who have bigger mouths, smaller brains and corrupt souls. Playing cricket with a country that is flowing with the blood of the innocent men, women and children, shows that we no longer have any moral principles to guide our lives. We are now even quite comfortable to sit and have tea with a Hannibal while his hands are still stained with the blood and his room is filled with the stink of rotting human flesh.

UN Staffs along with the Sri Lankan leaders were happy to fly over the killing fields and blood stained beaches of Sri Lanka, while having their hands on knives and forks.

The so called emerging superpowers are turning themselves into blood sucking leeches. Nobody can deny that these great nations have security concerns and they have to find a way to feed their own people. That doesn’t mean that they have God given right to slaughter the innocents in third world countries by giving support to the brutal regimes.

We teach our children to share everything because it is always a sensible and the right thing to do. Unfortunately, the great powers in the world still haven’t grasped the idea that gold in the lands and oil in the seas can also be shared. One might be able to forgive, when a country steals the resources from another country but it is completely unacceptable when thousands of innocents are sacrificed at the feet of greedy and selfish giants for them to fill their Gold pots.

If my neighbour wants to kill his step children and dump them in his back garden, I wouldn’t give him my shot gun just because he is offering me a free parking space in his garage. I wouldn’t feed my own children with the strawberries growing on the graves of the innocent children. I wouldn’t be going for his barbecue parties. I wouldn’t play golf with such a murderer.

As a sensible human being, I would stop him from abusing his step children in the first place. I would call the police to save lives before it is too late. I would alert all my good neighbours about a tragedy unfolding in front of my own eyes.

What China and some other emerging powers do to the vulnerable people of this world is nothing different from an evil man who give a shot gun to his neighbour in order to get free parking space and strawberries growing on the graves of the dead children.

China supplied weapons and provided training to the fighter pilots in Sudan. China was giving interest free loans while the Sudan government was slaughtering thousands in Darfur. One doesn’t need to be rocket scientist to recognise that China was acting selfishly.

China was complicit in Genocide as Sudan had opened up its oil fields for this sleeping giant. Western countries raised their voices but nothing was done to stop the genocide. As usual, the UN also stood back and remained powerless until everything was over.

What happened in Darfur has now become a standard model for the big beasts to secure their strategic interests in many parts of the world. They try to find trouble spots in this world, identify the abusive strongman who is having an upper hand and make the oppressor happy by giving him the toys and tools that he enjoys the most.

More than fifty thousands innocent Tamil civilians were slaughtered on the sandy beaches and jungles of Sri Lanka with the weapons and unlimited ammunitions supplied by the Chinese government. Three hundred thousands are now locked up in barbed wired concentration camps.

UN and other international organisations have so far failed to break this cycle of crimes being committed by the superpowers in various parts of the world.

“Exploiting someone’s weakness for their own benefit” is a simple phrase to describe the hell going on in Sri Lanka”. This is just like someone purposely creating a virus, spreading it and then selling the vaccines to make money. An internal conflict in Sri Lanka has now been made worse by its greedy neighbours. They are now lining up with spanners and hammers to fix the problems in Sri Lanka.

The way they are trying to fix it, is quite like how any selfish person would approach an issue. A genuine mediator might get bad name from either parties of a conflict by being fair on both sides. This is what happened to the Norwegian mediators in Sri Lanka. But the ones that are now trying to fix Sri Lanka are helping the strong party to the conflict to destroy the weaker one completely.

Cases are sometimes dropped in courts when the victims are dead or nobody is there to defend the victims. Helping Sri Lanka to kill the Tamils with deadly weapons and make them powerless is the strategy now being used by Sri Lanka and its greedy partners to deal with the conflict. Such method can’t be called as conflict resolution but it is an unfair conflict termination by eliminating one party to the conflict. This is almost like injecting poison and killing the patient to free him from sickness. This approach would enable the emerging superpowers to strengthen their ties with Sri Lanka and to carry on with their hidden agendas.

No country is willing to rescue the dying people in Sri Lanka. What is happening to the Tamils in Sri Lanka is not a fairy tale, not a film but it is a real story. They are real people. Cruelty against them is real. Deaths of the thousands are real and the ignorance and arrogance of the mankind are also real.

Masters of War and Silent Spectators

It has taken quite a while for many of us to understand, that what was happening in Sri Lanka was not “War on Terror”. If the war was just against the Tamil Rebels, the so called saviours of this country would have taken all the necessary steps to protect the vulnerable community once the war was over. Rulers of this land are still tormenting innocent Tamil men, women and children inside barbed wired concentration camps, even after crushing the Tamil rebels with the help of China, Pakistan and India. This has become a shocking revelation and eye opener for many parties who were initially supporting the war in Sri Lanka.

Sri Lanka wants to weaken the Tamils in order to establish a Sinhala Buddhist State. China wants to build ports in the South of Sri Lanka for military and commercial purposes. India wants to neutralise the Chinese threats and to establish its rule in the Indian Ocean. Pakistan has got its own agendas, what an evil combination. They have all been competing with each other to satisfy a country that is determined to flush out all the Tamils.

Sri Lanka has now become a football ground for many countries and the rulers of this land are delighted to entertain the players. Every time a ball is kicked, it kills the innocents and the pitch gets flooded with the blood. Players don’t care about how many are dying because it is part of their evil game.

China and India were the main players in the recent Sri Lankan war. They are still in the pitch, kicking the air. When people were dying in thousands, even the West didn’t do anything to stop; instead we also stood back and watched. India and its role in Sri Lankan war

India is a successful democracy with the population of 1.17 billion. So many different races, cultures, colours and religions live relatively peacefully. Most of the ethnic groups have their own States and every State in the country is given a degree of autonomy within this great Nation. People of India are mostly religious, hard working and non violent and they still maintain very strong traditional family values.

India hasn’t got a consistent foreign policy towards Sri Lanka. RAW which is the external intelligent agency in India has done great damage to Sri Lanka particularly to the Tamil community. India can’t be fully blamed for this because the Sri Lankan regimes very often make unpredictable moves therefore India is forced to change its policies.

As any other intelligent agency, RAW has a legitimate responsibility to protect India from its enemies, by being proactive. However, India could have achieved its objectives without helping the Sri Lankan government to slaughter thousands of Tamils.

RAW provided military training to the Tamil rebels in the early eighties in order to challenge the Sri Lankan government that had closed links with the Western Countries including the US. Tamil youth were trained in different groups. RAW was also to some extent be responsible for fuelling enmity and competition between different Tamil organisations.

Contrary to what many people believe, it is Indian’s interest to maintain a troubled Sri Lanka than a peaceful nation for India to spread its wings in the region. Disturbance in Sri Lanka would give an excuse for India to keep its Navy in Sri Lankan waters.

Indian peace keeping forces and Tamil rebels fought an unfortunate war between 1987 and 1989. Around twelve hundreds Indian soldiers lost their lives and many thousands were wounded in Sri Lankan soil. This was a bitter experience for India.

From year 2001 until the start of war in 2007, India kept a distance from Sri Lanka, although activities were going on behind the scenes. India stopped supplying offensive weapons to the Sri Lankan military.

Indian involvement in recent Sri Lankan war was quite controversial. China and Pakistan provided with all the weapons and India provided the intelligence to the ground troops.

India was well capable of stopping the war but it failed to do it even when thousands of innocent men women and children were perishing in Vanni. Some Indian leaders made contradictory statements, pretending like they were after peace while pressing the “Attack” buttons on their remote controls.

India may have its concerns that Sri Lanka might become a launch pad for China and Pakistan in its own backyard. Letting the Tamils to die in the hands of the Sri Lankan forces was not an easy option for India either.

India has no enmity with the Tamils in Sri Lanka but it has made a historical blunder by supporting a corrupt Sri Lankan regime to commit genocide against the Tamils just to satisfy a racist Nation, so that it can secure its interest in the Indian Ocean.

Indian forces are now going to occupy the Vanni region with the excuse of clearing land mines.

Nation of India has unfortunately deviated from its principles and core values, it was originally built upon. India might build rockets to the moon and giant monuments reaching to the skies but India will not succeed if it corrupts its own soul by aiding Genocide in other countries.

India should dream of becoming a superpower not just by wealth and technology but also proving to the world as a defender and guardian of Human rights.

Cries of men, women and children, who died in Vanni, are still echoing in the thundering skies of Vanni. These voices will keep on haunting every Indian because India has blood on its hands.

In order to feed all its citizens, to have access to raw materials and energy and to protect its strategic interests, China obviously needs to maintain close relations with countries that have something to offer.

A country that crushed 3000 protesters by rolling tanks in Tinanamon square, China hasn’t got a great reputation for human rights. If a country can’t treat its own citizen’s well, we can’t expect them to be concerned about people dying in other countries.

China has been very aggressive with its foreign policies in recent times. This sleeping giant has woken up and giving support to many corrupt regimes on earth to fulfil its agendas. Sadly, China has directly or indirectly aided genocide in many countries including Sudan and Sri Lanka.

Although, India provided the directions and intelligence for the Sri Lankan war, it was China that had given all the dangerous weapons and ammunitions to kill the Tamils in thousands.

Most of Tamils who died in Sri Lanka were killed by Chinese weapons. Sri Lanka has allowed China to build a controversial Port in the south of Sri Lanka.

Chinese intervention in Sri Lanka is not about defeating the Tamil rebels but to reward the country that had given the permission to build infrastructures in the strategically important Indian Ocean.

Indian intervention in Sri Lankan war is more to do with stopping Sri Lanka going in the hands of other countries, than defeating the Tamil rebels.

In summary, neither China nor India was keen on killing the Tamils. Just like China supported the Sudanese government to commit genocide in Darfur, they supported the Sri Lankan government to slaughter the Tamils in order to look after their strategic interests in the India Ocean.

If China and Pakistan didn’t supply weapons to Sri Lanka, we wouldn’t have seen the recent war in Sri Lanka.

West was deceived by Sri Lanka and its allies

War in Sri Lanka was started even with the blessings of the West and Japan.

Sri Lankan authorities with its PR partners, prepared a dossier to justify the war to the international community. This proposal was submitted to many countries including the EU, US, Norway and Japan.

Sri Lanka and its allies were able to convince many countries that Tamil rebels were a danger to the whole world. They were able to demonise the Tamil community, with lies and deceptions for their own advantage.

Comments made by some Western leaders and Japanese representatives during the war clearly showed that these countries were fully supporting the war in Sri Lanka but they felt very uncomfortable when the war became very dirty at the end. Many openly talked about post LTTE scenarios which means they all had the maps in their hands.

One of the main reasons why the UN and Western countries couldn’t take a strong stand to stop the war even when thousands of innocents were dying was because there were all there when the button was pressed at the start of the War.

Only difference is that the West never gave the approval to kill innocent men, women and children. Sri Lanka was not given the go ahead to send Tamils to barbed wired concentration camps.

Sri Lanka has now deceived the western countries and revealed its true face. Sri Lanka lied to the whole world that it was conducting a war with surgical strikes and “Zero Civilian Causalities”. It also denied that heavy weapons were used against civilians.

Torture, murder, rape and all kind of human right violations in the concentrations camps of Sri Lanka, are now sending shock waves across the world. Deportations of Western reporters, journalists and politicians from the Sri Lankan Airport and denial of access to the death camps of Sri Lanka for aid workers are showing the face of rebellious country that is willing go to any extent to defy international humanitarian laws.

UN no longer has a backbone

No wonder why the UN acted the way it acted during the Sri Lankan war. Staff members in the UN were simply dancing according to the different set of tunes that were played by various parties to the war.

UN who is supposed to be a guardian of the oppressed and vulnerable, remained as a silent spectator while thousands were perishing in the sandy beaches of Sri Lanka.

It is so obvious that UN was manipulated and was made to act in this way by some master magicians.

Master magicians are now trying to save Sri Lanka

China and India voted in favour of Sri Lanka in the human rights council. Their vote was like praising a murderer in a criminal court. Sri Lanka was congratulated by these countries for the war because they were also the culprits.

These two countries have both been involved in high level PR campaigns to hide the war crimes committed by Sri Lanka. Arrogant voice from Sri Lanka in the recent times is to do with its close bonding with India and China.

India has recently said that it would give aid to Sri Lanka in case if the loan from IMF is denied or delayed.

Indian and Chinese media have constantly been releasing news, supporting the Sri Lankan government since the start of the war. Sri Lanka not allowing Aid agencies and Journalists to the IDP camps and to the killing fields is done with the full support of India. This is to hide the war crimes and to silence the witnesses of the war. Three doctors who served thousands of wounded in the killing fields are now locked up in Sri Lankan jails. India is capable of requesting Sri Lanka to release these doctors but it has chosen not to.

Sri Lankan President and many cabinet ministers in Sri Lanka have recently acknowledged that they fought India’s War in Sri Lanka.

Conclusion

Indian and Chinese military, political and security leaders that are playing chess games in Sri Lanka, have caused so much death and destruction to the innocents. What is the point of becoming a superpower when the power is used to kill and destroy the oppressed and vulnerable people of this world?

So called guardians of this earth can use buzz words like Terrorism, National, Regional and International security, Global warming and Energy in international conferences and pretend like the saviours of human race but it is all meaningless when the same hypocrites advise their own governments to aid genocide in other countries.

Instead of playing Tic-Tac-Toe games in the Indian Ocean, China and India and even the West should sit together and discuss what they all want to achieve in the Indian Ocean. China with such a population has genuine energy requirements, India has its concerns and it is sensible for all these countries to find common ground and initiate constructive discussions.

These emerging superpowers should help the oppressed communities in Sri Lanka and other troubled nations on this earth, instead of helping the oppressive regimes and turn these countries into a hell in order to feed their own people.

Earth’s natural resources are being depleted so quickly. It is sensible for the energy hungry Nations to invest heavily on sustainable solutions like Hydrogen technology and Solar power. This would help us to save the planet and avoid human rights violations that are directly linked to the unfair competition between countries for raw materials and energy resources.

Any country that fails to protect the oppressed and vulnerable on this earth, and having worst human rights records, can’t become a leading Nation no matter how many rockets it sends to the Moon.

Fifty thousands were slaughtered in the killings fields by the Sri Lankan government with the help of India and China who are now acting like blood sucking leeches in the Indian Ocean. Three hundred thousands are now languishing in the death camps. Sri Lanka and its allies are doing all that they can to hide their crimes.

Rwanda, Sudan and now Sri Lanka, it is another wake up call to the World.

Genocide in Sri Lanka is real. Innocents are still being tortured, raped, murdered and starved. We have to make a choice whether to let the killings continue or we do something to stop it.

Injustice and Inequality in an unfair world

“Life is not fair” is a phrase that always echoes in the far corners of this Earth. A fifteen year old boy may have to work sixteen hours a day, in a poor African country just to get one meal a day for his sick mother and five siblings. This may not be the case in many other places in the world. Even the rulers of some poor countries, could be using gold plated toilets and marble baths while the poor hunt for bread crumps in rubbish dumps.

We are now so used to living with other people money without any shame. Resources on this earth are not distributed fairly among its inhabitants. We have built intelligent systems to steal, what belongs to others. Our banks no longer focus much on their traditional roles, instead they employ rocket scientists to build sophisticated gambling machines in order to rob the poor and give to the rich.

Corrupt regimes, can to some extent be blamed for the misery of people in their lands. Instead of setting the people free from such regimes, some of the big players use this as an opportunity to exploit the vulnerable people for their own selfish gains.

Value of life is not the same in every country. When the twin towers fell and three thousands perished, we all knelt down and wept. The whole world came to a stop for few minutes. We declared “War on Terror” against each and every single armed group in the world, including the ones that are genuinely fighting to free their communities from oppressive governments. Hands of the oppressed were tied and the weapons were given to many corrupt Nations. This is what we call Justice today.

Four hundred thousands were slaughtered in Darfur, Eight hundred thousands perished in Rwanda because the terror regimes in these countries were driven by ignorance and greed. No leader in the world declared “War on Genocide” even after seeing millions of deaths. Instead, some of the world powers aided genocide in these poor countries.

Although, the world media still stick with the figure of seventy thousands, the actual number of people, perished in the Sri Lankan civil war is around three hundred thousands. Fifty thousands were killed just within a short period of time in the recent war in Sri Lanka.

We have millions of evidences to prove that a systematic genocide is taking place in Sri Lanka while the Nations are watching. Neither UN nor any other world power is being able to stop the madness that is still going on in this country.

Security Council no longer agree on any decisions that are vital to save the vulnerable and oppressed people on this earth. Permanent members use their Veto powers just to cover their own dirt and to protect the other bullies in their club.

Our parliamentarians are hanging on to their positions and they are forced to sort out their expense claims to keep their jobs. Leaders of some powerful nations are not being able to focus on the real issues because they are chased after, to give explanations for things they did when they were teenagers. Senior staffs in the UN no longer have the freedom to do what is right. They have to dance according to the tunes played by their masters who have conflicting interests. It has now become a common practice that the leaders in the UN and top diplomats speak the truth only after their retirement.

We have robust systems in place, to protect the criminals and torment the victims. Our legal systems are so advanced that diplomats and politicians have to think hundred times, before making any comments. Just to make life easier, they keep their mouths shut even at times it is important to speak out.

Even during a humanitarian crisis, our leaders would still act like electronic parrots who can only repeat the same recorded words that would comply with national and international laws, just to make sure that they hang on to their jobs. The world is dying for leaders who can at least use their basic common sense to help the persecuted people on this planet.

We talk about political correctness. We are very concerned about little things but we turn a deaf ear, when the real-world calamities strike the mankind. We are planning to stop using Christmas lights in our towns because we think it will offend people from other religions. We are supposed to write “Traces of Nuts” on peanut packets. Doctors have to break their heads before writing prescriptions, because most of the drugs have side affects. They will be sued if something goes wrong. We have been very successful in sending many talented doctors, writers and politicians to the prisons and letting the criminals to roam around our cities.

Praising the Sri Lankan regime for slaughtering thousands of innocents and letting the Tamils to languish in the concentration camps is another example that we have become real hypocrites and jokers who have bigger mouths, smaller brains and corrupt souls. Playing cricket with a country that is flowing with the blood of the innocent men, women and children, shows that we no longer have any moral principles to guide our lives. We are now even quite comfortable to sit and have tea with a Hannibal while his hands are still stained with the blood and his room is filled with the stink of rotting human flesh.

UN Staffs along with the Sri Lankan leaders were happy to fly over the killing fields and blood stained beaches of Sri Lanka, while having their hands on knives and forks.

Nobody can deny that these great nations have security concerns and they have to find a way to feed their own people. That doesn’t mean that they have God given right to slaughter the innocents in third world countries by giving support to the brutal regimes.

We teach our children to share everything because it is always a sensible and the right thing to do. Unfortunately, the great powers in the world still haven’t grasped the idea that gold in the lands and oil in the seas can also be shared. One might be able to forgive, when a country steals the resources from another country but it is completely unacceptable when thousands of innocents are sacrificed at the feet of greedy and selfish giants for them to fill their Gold pots.

If my neighbour wants to kill his step children and dump them in his back garden, I wouldn’t give him my shot gun just because he is offering me a free parking space in his garage. I wouldn’t feed my own children with the strawberries growing on the graves of the innocent children. I wouldn’t be going for his barbecue parties. I wouldn’t play golf with such a murderer.

As a sensible human being, I would stop him from abusing his step children in the first place. I would call the police to save lives before it is too late. I would alert all my good neighbours about a tragedy unfolding in front of my own eyes.

What China and some other emerging powers do to the vulnerable people of this world is nothing different from an evil man who give a shot gun to his neighbour in order to get free parking space and strawberries growing on the graves of the dead children.

China supplied weapons and provided training to the fighter pilots in Sudan. China was giving interest free loans while the Sudan government was slaughtering thousands in Darfur. One doesn’t need to be rocket scientist to recognise that China was acting selfishly.

China was complicit in Genocide as Sudan had opened up its oil fields for this sleeping giant. Western countries raised their voices but nothing was done to stop the genocide. As usual, the UN also stood back and remained powerless until everything was over.

What happened in Darfur has now become a standard model for the big beasts to secure their strategic interests in many parts of the world. They try to find trouble spots in this world, identify the abusive strongman who is having an upper hand and make the oppressor happy by giving him the toys and tools that he enjoys the most.

“Exploiting someone’s weakness for their own benefit” is a simple phrase to describe the hell going on in Sri Lanka”. This is just like someone purposely creating a virus, spreading it and then selling the vaccines to make money. An internal conflict in Sri Lanka has now been made worse by its greedy neighbours. They are now lining up with spanners and hammers to fix the problems in Sri Lanka.

The way they are trying to fix it, is quite like how any selfish person would approach an issue. A genuine mediator might get bad name from either parties of a conflict by being fair on both sides. This is what happened to the Norwegian mediators in Sri Lanka. But the ones that are now trying to fix Sri Lanka are helping the strong party to the conflict to destroy the weaker one completely.

Cases are sometimes dropped in courts when the victims are dead or nobody is there to defend the victims. Helping Sri Lanka to kill the Tamils with deadly weapons and make them powerless is the strategy now being used by Sri Lanka and its greedy partners to deal with the conflict. Such method can’t be called as conflict resolution but it is an unfair conflict termination by eliminating one party to the conflict. This is almost like injecting poison and killing the patient to free him from sickness. This approach would enable the emerging superpowers to strengthen their ties with Sri Lanka and to carry on with their hidden agendas.

No country is willing to rescue the dying people in Sri Lanka. What is happening to the Tamils in Sri Lanka is not a fairy tale, not a film but it is a real story. They are real people. Cruelty against them is real. Deaths of the thousands are real and the ignorance and arrogance of the mankind are also real.

They have all been competing with each other to satisfy a country that is determined to flush out all the Tamils.

Sri Lanka has now become a football ground for many countries and the rulers of this land are delighted to entertain the players. Every time a ball is kicked, it kills the innocents and the pitch gets flooded with the blood. Players don’t care about how many are dying because it is part of their evil game.

Comments made by some Western leaders and Japanese representatives during the war clearly showed that these countries were fully supporting the war in Sri Lanka but they felt very uncomfortable when the war became very dirty at the end. Many openly talked about post LTTE scenarios which means they all had the maps in their hands.

One of the main reasons why the UN and Western countries couldn’t take a strong stand to stop the war even when thousands of innocents were dying was because there were all there when the button was pressed at the start of the War.

Only difference is that the West never gave the approval to kill innocent men, women and children. Sri Lanka was not given the go ahead to send Tamils to barbed wired concentration camps.

Sri Lanka has now deceived the western countries and revealed its true face. Sri Lanka lied to the whole world that it was conducting a war with surgical strikes and “Zero Civilian Causalities”. It also denied that heavy weapons were used against civilians.

Torture, murder, rape and all kind of human right violations in the concentrations camps of Sri Lanka, are now sending shock waves across the world. Deportations of Western reporters, journalists and politicians from the Sri Lankan Airport and denial of access to the death camps of Sri Lanka for aid workers are showing the face of rebellious country that is willing go to any extent to defy international humanitarian laws.

UN no longer has a backbone

No wonder why the UN acted the way it acted during the Sri Lankan war. Staff members in the UN were simply dancing according to the different set of tunes that were played by various parties to the war.

UN who is supposed to be a guardian of the oppressed and vulnerable, remained as a silent spectator while thousands were perishing in the sandy beaches of Sri Lanka.

It is so obvious that UN was manipulated and was made to act in this way by some master magicians.

Master magicians are now trying to save Sri Lanka

China and India voted in favour of Sri Lanka in the human rights council. Their vote was like praising a murderer in a criminal court. Sri Lanka was congratulated by these countries for the war because they were also the culprits.

These two countries have both been involved in high level PR campaigns to hide the war crimes committed by Sri Lanka. Arrogant voice from Sri Lanka in the recent times is to do with its close bonding with India and China.

India has recently said that it would give aid to Sri Lanka in case if the loan from IMF is denied or delayed.

Indian and Chinese media have constantly been releasing news, supporting the Sri Lankan government since the start of the war. Sri Lanka not allowing Aid agencies and Journalists to the IDP camps and to the killing fields is done with the full support of India. This is to hide the war crimes and to silence the witnesses of the war. Three doctors who served thousands of wounded in the killing fields are now locked up in Sri Lankan jails. India is capable of requesting Sri Lanka to release these doctors but it has chosen not to.

Sri Lankan President and many cabinet ministers in Sri Lanka have recently acknowledged that they fought India’s War in Sri Lanka.

Conclusion

Indian and Chinese military, political and security leaders that are playing chess games in Sri Lanka, have caused so much death and destruction to the innocents. What is the point of becoming a superpower when the power is used to kill and destroy the oppressed and vulnerable people of this world?

So called guardians of this earth can use buzz words like Terrorism, National, Regional and International security, Global warming and Energy in international conferences and pretend like the saviours of human race but it is all meaningless when the same hypocrites advise their own governments to aid genocide in other countries.

Instead of playing Tic-Tac-Toe games in the Indian Ocean, China and India and even the West should sit together and discuss what they all want to achieve in the Indian Ocean. China with such a population has genuine energy requirements, India has its concerns and it is sensible for all these countries to find common ground and initiate constructive discussions.

These emerging superpowers should help the oppressed communities in Sri Lanka and other troubled nations on this earth, instead of helping the oppressive regimes and turn these countries into a hell in order to feed their own people.

Earth’s natural resources are being depleted so quickly. It is sensible for the energy hungry Nations to invest heavily on sustainable solutions like Hydrogen technology and Solar power. This would help us to save the planet and avoid human rights violations that are directly linked to the unfair competition between countries for raw materials and energy resources.

Any country that fails to protect the oppressed and vulnerable on this earth, and having worst human rights records, can’t become a leading Nation no matter how many rockets it sends to the Moon.

Fifty thousands were slaughtered in the killings fields by the Sri Lankan government with the help of India and China who are now acting like blood sucking leeches in the Indian Ocean. Three hundred thousands are now languishing in the death camps. Sri Lanka and its allies are doing all that they can to hide their crimes.

Rwanda, Sudan and now Sri Lanka, it is another wake up call to the World.

Genocide in Sri Lanka is real. Innocents are still being tortured, raped, murdered and starved. We have to make a choice whether to let the killings continue or we do something to stop it.

வலிக்கிறது. தமிழர்களை அரசியல் மொக்கைகள் ஆகிக்கிடக்கிறார்கள். இந்திய தேசியத்திடம் தமிழர்களை அடகு வைத்த குற்றம் திராவிட அரசியல்வாதிகளையும் தமிழினவாதிகளையுமே சாரும்.

நெடுஞ்சாலையில் கூடிய தமிழர்களைப் பொறுத்தவரை, பல மாதங்களாக அவர்கள் நடத்திய போராட்டங்களை கனேடிய அரசு, கருத்தில் எடுக்கவோ அல்லது தமது போராட்டத்தின் பயனாக இலங்கையில் நடைபெறும் போரை முடிவிற்கு கொண்டு வரவோ எந்த ஆக்கபூர்வமான நடவடிக்கைகளையும் கனேடிய அரசாங்கம் எடுக்கவில்லை. எனவே கனேடிய அரசிற்று நெருக்குவாரம் கொடுக்கும்போதாவது, அவர்கள் தமிழர்களின் பிரச்சனையில் அக்கறை காட்டுவார்கள் என்ற எண்ணமே அங்கு கூடினவர்களில் பெரும்பாலானவர்களிடம் காணப்பட்டது.

ஆனால் கனேடிய அரசாங்கமும், கனடா பெரும்பான்மை சமூகத்தினரும் ஆத்திரமும், எரிச்சலும் அடைவதற்கே இச்செயற்பாடு இட்டுச்சென்றதை சம்பந்தப்பட்டவர்களின் கருதுத்துக்களில் இருந்து அறியக்கூடியதாக இருந்தது. அதே நேரம், இப்போராட்டத்தை நடத்தும் தமிழ் கனேடியர்கள் விடுதலைப் புலிகளின் கொடிகளையும், ‘தமிழர் தேசிய கொடி’ என்று அவர்களால் சொல்லப்படுகின்ற கொடிகளையும் தாங்கிச் சென்றது, கனேடிய அரசிற்கு இவர்கள் மேல் அசிரத்தையைத்தான் ஏற்படுத்த வாய்ப்பிருக்கிறது. ஏனென்றால் விடுதலைப் புலிகள் அமைப்பை, தற்போதைய கனடா அரசாங்கம் இரண்டு வருடங்களுக்கு முன்னர் தடைசெய்யப்பட்ட அமைப்பாக அறிவித்திருந்துள்ளது. அதனால் ஒரு கனேடியனுக்கு இருக்கவேண்டிய கடமை, அந்நாட்டின் சட்டதிட்டங்களை மதிக்கவேண்டும் என்பதை கனேடிய அரசு எதிர்பார்க்கின்றது. ஆனால் அந்த விடயத்தில் தமிழ் கனேடியர்கள் தவறுகிறார்கள் என்று அரசு கருதுவதே இவர்கள் பிரச்சனையை காதில் போடாததற்கும் ஒரு காரணமா இருக்கலாம் என எண்ணத்தோன்றுகிறது.’ இவ்;வாறாக இந்த நெடுஞ்சாலை மறிப்பானது கனடாவாழ் பல்லின மக்களின் எதிர்ப்பையும், எரிச்சலையுமே சம்பாதித்திருந்ததை மேலும் ஆங்கில மற்றும் தமிழ் அல்லாத வானொலிகள், தொலைக்காட்சிகள், வேலைத்தளங்கள் போன்றவற்றில் இருந்து அறியக்கூடியதாக இருந்தது.

ஆனால் இது தொடர்பாக பெரும்பான்மையான தமிழர்கள் மத்தியில் தமது நடவடிக்கைகள் சரியானது என்றும், அதற்கு நியாயம் கற்பிற்கும் வகையிலுமே அவர்கள் கருத்துக்கள் அமைந்திருந்தது என்பது தான் உண்மை. குறிப்பாக தமிழ் வானொலிகளில் வரும் அனேகமான நேயர்கள் கூட நெடுஞ்சாலை மறிப்பை சரியான செயலாகவே வாதிட்டார்கள். அவர்களை அவ்வாறு ஊக்குவிப்பதற்கும் கனேடியத் தமிழ் வானொலிகள் பின்நிற்கவில்லை என்பதும் இன்னொரு ஆச்சரியம் தராத உண்மைதான்.

கட்டுரையில் புலிகளிடம் சிக்கியிருந்த பணயக் கைதிகளைப் பற்றிக் குறிப்பிடும் போது் “பணயக் கைதிகள்” என்று அடைப்புக் குறிகளிட்டு எழுதி, அப்படி எதுவுமே நடக்காத மாதிரி பிரமையை உருவாக்கி, தன்னுடைய புலிஆதரவை கட்டுரையாளர் பட்டவர்த்தனமாகக் காட்டியிருக்கிறார். இலங்கை அரசு மனித உரிமை மீறலில் ஈடுபட்டது உண்மை. அதே நேரம் புலிகள் தன்னைப் பாதுகாக்க ஆயிரக்கணக்கான அப்பாவிகளைக் கடத்திப் போனதும் உண்மை. இதையெல்லாம் மறைக்க முயற்சிப்பது ஈழமக்களுக்கு செய்யும் மிகப் பெரிய துரோகமாகும்.

லட்சம் பேர்களை கடத்தி போவது சாத்தியமல்ல. தாமாகவே புலித்தலைமையை நம்பி வந்தவர்கள் பலர். அவர்கள் புலிகளுடனே கடைசி கட்ட தாக்குதல் வரை இருந்துள்ளனர். புலிகள் சிறிய எல்லைக்குள் சுற்றி வளைக்கப்பட்ட பின்னர் வேறு வழியின்றி பாதுகாப்பு பகுதிக்குள் வந்தவர்கள் தான் ஏராளம்.

  புலிகள் தம் மக்களுக்கு எதிராக வன்முறையே செய்யவில்லை என சொல்லவில்லை. ஆனால் அதே சமயம் புலிகளுடன் இருந்த அனைவரும்(100%) கட்டாயப்படுத்தி இருத்தப்பட்டார்கள் என்பதில் தான் வேறுபடுகிறேன். எந்த இயக்கமும் ஓரளவுக்கேனும் மக்கள் ஆதரவு இல்லாமல் நிலைக்க முடியாது. புலிகளுக்கும் மக்களிடையே ஒரளவுக்கு இருந்தது. இப்பவும் இருக்கிறது. சிங்களவன் என உணர்ச்சி வசப்பட்டு முத்திரை குத்துவது தேவை இல்லை என நினைக்கிறேன்.

//கட்டுரையில் புலிகளிடம் சிக்கியிருந்த பணயக் கைதிகளைப் பற்றிக் குறிப்பிடும் போது் “பணயக் கைதிகள்” என்று அடைப்புக் குறிகளிட்டு எழுதி, அப்படி எதுவுமே நடக்காத மாதிரி பிரமையை உருவாக்கி, தன்னுடைய புலிஆதரவை கட்டுரையாளர் பட்டவர்த்தனமாகக் காட்டியிருக்கிறார். இலங்கை அரசு மனித உரிமை மீறலில் ஈடுபட்டது உண்மை. அதே நேரம் புலிகள் தன்னைப் பாதுகாக்க ஆயிரக்கணக்கான அப்பாவிகளைக் கடத்திப் போனதும் உண்மை. இதையெல்லாம் மறைக்க முயற்சிப்பது ஈழமக்களுக்கு செய்யும் மிகப் பெரிய துரோகமாகும்.//

புலிகள் மக்களை கேடயமாக உபயோகப்படுத்திக் கொண்டனர், மக்களை கடத்திச் சென்றனர் என்பது பொய். அது சாத்தியமில்லை.

இந்தியா உள்ளிட்ட மேலாதிக்க வல்லரசுகளின் பதிலியாக இருந்த சிங்கள இன வெறி ராணுவத்துடனான மோதலை ஆரம்பத்திலிருந்தே தற்காப்பு முறையில் எதிர்கொண்ட புலிகள், அது ஏற்படுத்தும் மனித பேரவலம் சர்வதேச அளவில் ஒரு நெருக்கடியை உருவாக்கி தம்மை, ஈழ விடுதலைப் போரை காப்பாற்றும் என்று நம்பியிருந்ததாகாவே புரிந்து கொள்ள முடிகிறது. இந்த வகையில்தான் மனித கேடயம் என்ற வார்த்தை பிரயோகத்தை புரிந்த கொள்ள முடியும் என்று கருதுகிறேன்.

இப்படி ஒரு தந்திரம் மிகத் தவறானது, சந்தர்ப்பவாதமானது ஆகும்.

இது உண்மைதான். ஆனால் இவ்வாறு பெரும் எண்ணிகையிலான மக்கள் தம்முடன் வருவதை புலிகள் தடுத்திருக்க முடியும். கடந்த காலங்களில் யாழ்ப்பானத்தை இந்திய ராணுவம் முற்றுகையிட்டு பிடித்த போது அங்கிருந்த மக்கள்தான் இந்திய ராணுவத்துடன் ஒரு நேரடி மோதலை மேற்கொண்டனர். புலிகள் கொரில்லா யுத்த முறைக்கு மாறியிருந்தனர்.

யாழ் நகரத்திலிருந்த மக்களை இந்திய ராணுவம்தான் பிற்பாடு இடம்பெயரச் செய்தது அன்று. ஆனால் இன்றோ புலிகளுடன் மக்களும் சேர்ந்து பொறிக்குள் மாட்டிக் கொண்டனர்.

பாசிசம் ஓரு போதும் வென்றது இல்லை, மக்களின் போராட்டமும் வீழ்ந்ததில்லை. யார் வீழ்ந்தாலும்எல்லாம் பறிக்கப்பட்டாலும் பறிக்கமுடியாதது ஒன்று இருக்கிறது அதுதான் சுதந்திர வேட்கை. இன்றைய தவறுகள் நாளைய பாடங்கள்.
கண்டிப்பாய் மீண்டும் போர் மூளும் எதிரிகள் நாளை வீழ்த்தப்படலாம், நாம் எந்தப்பக்கம் இருக்கிறோம்? பிரபாகரனின் மரணசெய்தியைகேட்டு, கொத்து கொத்தாய் கொல்லப்படும் மக்களை பார்த்து விடப்படும் நமது வெற்றுகண்ணீர் அம்மக்களை சுட்டெரிக்கவே செய்யும். சிங்கள இனவெறி பாசிசத்துக்கு துணை போகும் இந்தியத்தை முறியடிக்காது ஈழத்தில் வெற்றி மலரப்போவதில்லை.
ஈழத்தமிழ் மக்களின் விடுதலைக்கு உதவாமலிருந்தாலும் பரவாயில்லை உங்கள் இந்திய சாயத்தின் கண்ணீரை விடாதீர்கள்.அவை பட்டுப்போய்விடும்.

  சரியான கருத்து. அப்படியே பாஸிசம் வென்றாலும் அது நீண்ட கால வெற்றியாக இருக்காது. மக்களை அடிமைப்படுத்தி மூளைச்சலவை செய்து அதிக காலத்திற்கு அராஜக ஆட்சி நடத்த முடியாது. சிலகாலம் ஆயுதம் தாங்கி வடக்கு இலங்கையில் ஆட்சி நடத்தி வந்த புலிகளின் நிரந்தத் தோல்விக்கு இதுவே காரணம்.

புலிகள் தங்களை பணயக்கைதிகளாக பிடித்து வைத்திருந்து ஆயிரக்கணக்கில் பலி கொடுத்ததை ஈழத்தமிழர்கள் கூறுகிறார்கள். இனப்படுகொலையில் புலிகளுக்கும் பங்கிருந்தது உலகம் அறிந்த உண்மை. ஈழத்தமிழரை வெறுக்கும் புலி மாபியாக்களுக்கு மட்டும் அது பொய்யாக தெரிகிறது. இவர்களை தமிழினத் துரோகிகள் என்று அழைப்பதில் என்ன தவறு? அது தான் இவர்களுக்கு பொருத்தமான பெயர்.

6.3 Trauma and Tragedy of Escape

Over the last few months, when the trapped civilians have felt compelled to escape from the narrowed combat area, the militants have been very harsh on them, determined not to let a single one of them succeed. Only the severely injured were allowed to go with the ICRC. While maintaining publicly that the people are staying with them of their own free will, they have resorted to beating, threatening, shooting below the legs, arresting and severe beating up of those who attempt the escape and so on. Recently, several new IDP arrivals have testified to scattering over dead bodies as militants had opened fire on them as they had attempted the escape with a crowd of others. Such reports are quite common now.

6.3.1 Father perished with a son, Saving another son: During the second week of April, a father managed to save his 17 year old son from conscription in this way. However he was he was shot on the forehead and killed on the spot by a group of pursuing militants as he was making good his escape with his family. He had been leading a group of families along an escape route about 11.00 AM dodging militant sentries who had been placed at the edge of the NFZ. Just as they were part way across the lagoon, a group of militants spotted them and came after them firing. This father was carrying his 10 year son on his shoulders and fell just as he was climbing ashore at the other end. The younger son on his shoulders got injured just below his chest. He had initially started running with the crowd crying to his God for help, and then returned to his father and lay over his body sobbing in silence. In the meantime the wife, the 17 year son and his younger sister had, after getting to the shore run towards the army with their fellow escapees, thinking that the father was also coming behind them. The gun fire from the pursuing militants gave them no chance to stop and look behind. The escapees were encouraging each other to push ahead without a moment’s delay. It was only as they stopped at the other end that they were told by one who had come behind them that the father was fallen at the water’s edge and the son was injured and was clinging to the father. The elder son took out his purse with the NIC and other documents threw it on the ground and ran back. He picked up his younger brother, tugged at his father for some time only to spot the wound, and ran back. The army received them with real sympathy, fed them and gave priority to send this family to Omanthai. Word got to the brother of the deceased living in the government-controlled area. They went to Vavuniya. The mother and the injured son had been brought to Vavuniya hospital by this time. The boy succumbed to his injuries. The police OIC showed a lot of sympathy in responding to the request of the family to get the other two children down from Omanthai in order to take them to the funeral. He used his cell phone to get in touch with the officer in Omanthai, got them down and completed the paper work to release them.

6.3.2 Patchai-Mattai Punishment for wanting to leave: In the early days after the declaration of the no fire zone along the Mulaitivu coast line, the civilian population was centred on Puthumathalan at the northern end of the NFZ. On one of those afternoons a crowd of around five thousand people had banded together and told the militants who had prevented them that they were going, come what may. After long attempts at “persuasion” they were told to go by a particular route as a group of trigger happy troops were hanging around very close-by along the other possible route. On this route, however, a huge team of militants with fresh palmyrah branches- the dreaded “patchai mattai” in Tamil, sticks and guns were positioned and waiting. The civilians were given very cruel treatment and chased back.

6.3.3 Anger and tragedy among people cornered by working for the LTTE:The following case is revealing of the tragic plight even of those who were working with the LTTE and their present predicament. A father, mother and her eldest daughter, were forced to move from Jaffna when the LTTE importuned an exodus in 1995. The eldest daughter was a teacher, who had been asked to teach LTTE cadres. When the Army began to move into the Jaffna peninsula during late 1995, the family was told insistently that the Army would kill the daughter who was teaching their cadres, and forced them to move into the Vanni. The other daughters of this family are in the West. Later on the eldest daughter was offered a teaching position in Jaffna, but the LTTE refused to give her family a pass to leave with her. She also had periodic depressions and because of this the parents did not want her to go to Jaffna alone. Even so, the LTTE refused the parents permission to leave the Vanni. The family too was pushed around during the recent military operation, finally reaching Puthkkudiyiruppu. Unable to bear the shelling the family decided to move out. The father and daughter arranged for the mother to travel in a tractor-trailer, while they travelled on bicycles. Barely had they gone about quarter mile, when the Army began shelling, hitting the father and some others nearby. The daughter who lay down on the ground escaped. The father who had a shrapnel injury was admitted to a makeshift hospital and later he and the mother were transported to Trincomalee. The mother was anxious to send the daughter first as she too was in need of medical care, but the LTTE denied her a pass. Now the parents are in Vavuniya while the daughter is with a known family from their village in the NFZ.

Recently, a boy from the family with whom the daughter is staying, phoned the sister in Canada and told her how they twice tried to escape and got caught. Once, they were stopped by an LTTE man from their village and asked to go back. He told them that since he knows them he is allowing them to go back, and if not they would have been executed as punishment. The sister from Canada asked the boy, how he came to tell all this on a phone provided by the LTTE. The boy said the person who is manning the booth is also from their village and his family too had tried to escape with them and failed. Owing to this, he was lenient in allowing him to communicate all this. Here, the person who is working with the LTTE is trying to send his family out with known families but he cannot leave.

6.3.4 Killed for Desertion!: On 5thMarch 2009, a group of people had arranged for a boatman to take them to Jaffna from the present NFZ. The boat started off without the LTTE apprehending them. Soon after it started moving, a very bright light was flashed into the boat. An LTTE gun man picked out Mahalingam Prakash Mohan and shot him dead. The boat then proceeded to Jaffna. Prakash Mohan has been in the jewellery trade and was close to the LTTE. Originally from Kacchai Road Chavakachcheri, he had moved to Killinochchi in the wake of the Jaffna Exodus in early 1996.

The over-whelming reports from IDPs indicate that more people attempting to flee have been killed by the LTTE than by army snipers. Many escapees from the no-fire zone testified to a heavy recruitment drive by the LTTE. The minimum age for conscription is now 14. There is no ceiling set on the maximum number that could be taken from one family.

ஈழப் புலி ஆதரவாளர்களின் சாதிவெறிக்கு ஒரு உதாரணம். இறுதியாக நடத்தப்பட்ட பாராளுமன்றத் தேர்தலில் டக்ளஸ் தேவானந்தாவிற்கு வீழ்ந்த வாக்குகள் பெரும்பாலும் ஒடுக்கப்பட்ட சமூகளிடம் இருந்த கிடைக்கப்பெற்ற வாக்குகளே. அதால் தான் டக்ளஸ் தேவானந்தவின் போஸ்ரருக்கு கள்ளு முட்டி கட்டப்பட்டது. இன்று, தங்கள் குரல்வளைகள் நெரிக்கப்பட்டு தங்களுக்காக தாஙகளே பேசமுடியாமல், என்றாவது ஒருநாள் விடியும் என்று நடைப்பிணங்களாக வவுனியா வதைமுகாமில் காத்திருக்கும் என் உறவுகளின் சார்பில் இதை எழுதுகிறேன். நான் யார் அவர்களின் சார்பாக எழுத என்று ரதி எதிர்ப்பாளர்கள் கூறலாம். என் உறவுக்களுக்காக, அவர்களின் சட்டரீதியான உரிமைகளுக்காக பேசும் எல்லா உரிமையும் எனக்கு உண்டு.

ஒடுக்கப்பட்ட இனத்தின் நம்பிக்கையாக இருக்க வேண்டிய சில சர்வதேச அமைப்புகள் எங்களின் அவநம்பிக்கையை வளர்த்தெடுத்து அதில் சுயலாபம் தேடிக்கொள்கிறார்கள். ஐக்கிய நாடுகள் சபை, அதன் மனித உரிமைகள் சபை, மனித உரிமைகள் கண்காணிப்பகம் போன்ற அமைப்புகள் ஈழத்தமிழர்கள் விடயத்தில் வெறும் அறிக்கைகள் மட்டுமே விட்டு தங்கள் இருப்பை காட்டிக்கொண்டிருக்கிறார்கள். இந்த கட்டுரையில் குறிப்பிட்டது போல் ஐ.நாவின் மனித உரிமைகள் அமைப்பின் இலங்கைக்கு எதிரான போர்க்குற்றங்கள் விசாரிக்கப்பட வேண்டுமென்ற தீர்மானம் கொண்டுவர்ப்பட்டபோது, அது பூகோள பிராந்திய அரசியலின் ஆடுபுலி ஆட்டத்தின் வெறும் காய்நகர்த்தலாகவே முடிந்தது. முள்ளிவாய்க்காலில் பலியானவர்கள் வெறும் பகடைக்காயகளாய் ஆனார்கள். என்னைப்போன்றவர்கள் ஏதாவது நியாயம் கிடைகுமா என்று எதிர்பார்த்து ஏமாந்தது தான் மிச்சம். எங்கு போய் நோக எங்கள் விதியை? என் இனத்தின் சாவுக்கு எந்த நியாயமும் கிடைக்காது என்ற அவநம்பிக்கை விதைக்கப்பட்டது.

யூதர்கள் கொல்லப்பட்டபோது அப்படி ஒரு வரலாறு இனி திரும்பாது என்றார்கள். அது யூதர்களுக்கு மட்டும் தான் என்று எனக்கு இப்போதுதான் புரிகிறது. கொங்கோ, டார்ஃபூர், ஈழம் என்றால் வரலாறு திரும்பலாம். அதில் ஒன்றும் பாதகமில்லை. இதுதான் என்னைப்போன்றவர்கள் உலகவரலாற்றில் கற்றுக்கொண்ட பாடம். ஒருவேளை நானும் ஓர் ஈழத்தமிழாக இருப்பதால் பாடத்தை பிழையாக விளங்கிக்கொண்டேன் என்று யாராவது அறிவு ஜீவிகள் விளக்குங்கள்!

எங்கள் எதிர்காலம் என்று எல்லோரையும் போல் நாங்கள் நம்பும் எங்கள் வளரும் சமுதாயம் இன்று ஈழத்தில் முட்கம்பிகளின் பின்னால், துப்பாக்கிமுனையில், தங்கள் உரிமைகள் என்னவென்று அறியாமல், ஒருவேளை உணவுக்காய் வரிசையில் நிற்பதுதான் உன் விதியென்று சிங்களபேரினவாதம் எங்கள் பிஞ்சுகளின் நெஞ்சில் அடிமைத்தனத்தை விதைக்கிறார்கள்.

இதையெல்லாம் ஏன் கூறுகிறேன் என்றால் இலங்கை அரசு செஞ்சிலுவை சங்கத்தை அதன் செயற்பாடுகளை மட்டுப்படுத்தச்சொல்லியுள்ளது. இப்படித்தான் வன்னியிலும் தொண்டர் நிறுவவங்களை விலகச்சொல்லும் போது அதன் அனர்த்த்ம் எப்படிப்பட்டது என்று நான் உணர்ந்திருக்கவில்லை. அது மீண்டும் நடந்தால் என் உறவுகளின் நிலை வவுனியா வதைமுகாமில் என்னாகுமோ என்று நெஞ்சு பதறுகிறது.

எங்கள் வலிகளிலிருந்து பாடங்களை கற்றுக்கொண்டு அதற்கேற்றாற்போல் செயற்படுவோம். எங்களுக்குள் வன்மங்களை வளர்த்துக்கொள்ள வேண்டாம்.

  தவிர, வவுனியா வதைமுகாம்களில் ஒரு வாரத்திற்கு 1400 பேர் என்ற ரீதியில் இறப்பதாக லண்டனிலிருந்து வெளிவரும் ரைம்ஸ் பத்திரிகை கூறுகிறது. அதுமட்டுமல்ல, சர்வதேச செஞ்சிலுவை சங்கத்தை இலங்கை அரசு அதன் செயற்ப்பாடுகளை மட்டுப்படுத்தச்சொல்லியுள்ளது என்பது பீதியை கொடுக்கிறது. முகாமில் உள்ளவர்களுக்கு இந்த தொண்டர் நிறுவனங்கள் தான் ஒரேயொரு ஆறுதல். அதுவும் தடைப்பட்டால் என்னாகுமோ தெரியவில்லை.

ரதி சொல்வது போல அவரின் உறவுகள் வன்னியில் அகப்பட்டிருந்தால் இன்று புலி எதிர்ப்பில் முன்னுக்கு நிற்பவர் அவராகத்தான் இருப்பார். இவரது உறவுகளும் புலிகளால் பணயக்கைதிகளாக வைக்கப்பட்டிருந்திருப்பார்கள். தப்பி ஓட முயன்று முதுகில் சுடப்பட்டு இறந்திருப்பார்கள். உயிரைக் கையில் பிடித்துக் கொண்டு புலிகளிடம் இருந்து தப்பி வந்தோம் என்று கதை கதையாக சொல்லியிருப்பார்கள். அன்றில் இருந்தே புலிகளை வெறுத்திருப்பார். ரதி என்பவர் தனது உறவுகள் பட்ட துன்பங்களை கண்டு கொள்ளாமல் இவ்வளவு காலமும் புலிகளுக்கு ஆதரவளித்து வந்தாரா? இப்படி ஒரு இரக்கமற்ற மனிதர் உலகில் இருக்க முடியுமா? ஒருவர் தனது உறவுகளை அகோரமான யுத்தம் நடக்கும் இடத்தில் புலிகளிடம் ஒப்படைத்து விட்டு குண்டடி பட்டு சாகட்டும் என்று நிம்மதியாக இருந்திருப்பாரா? உண்மையிலேயே இவரது உறவுகள் வன்னியில் இருந்திருந்தால் மேலே உள்ள UTHR அறிக்கையை உறுதி செய்திருப்பார். அந்த அறிக்கையில் குறிப்பிட்ட எதுவும் தனக்கு தெரியாது என்று சொல்வாரா? பணயக்கைதிகளாக வைத்திருந்த மக்களை விட்டு விடும் படி அமெரிக்கா, இந்தியா, ஐரோப்பா, ஐ.நா.சபை எல்லாம் புலிகளிடம் கேட்டுக் கொண்டனவே. இவருக்கு தெரியாதா?

புலிகள் மீதான அரசியல் விமர்சனங்களில் கலந்து கொண்டு டெக்கான் என்ற நபர் சோ, சு.சாமி போன்றோரின் சிங்களப் பாசிச ஆதரவு கைக்கூலித்தனத்தை செய்து வருகிறார். இரண்டு அம்சங்களில் இருந்து இதனைப் பார்க்கிறேன். ஓன்று, இங்கு வெளியாகும் ஈழம் தவிர்த்த கட்டுரைகளில் இவரை காணாமல் போனவர் பட்டியலில் வைத்து தேட வேண்டியுள்ளது. இரண்டு, ஈழ மக்களின் எதிர்காலம் குறித்த அக்கறையோ, அக்கறைபடுவது போன்ற பாசாங்கையோ கூட எழுத்தில் காண முடியாத அளவுக்கு தீவிரமான சிங்கள இன வெறி ஆதரவாளனாக உள்ளார். ராஜபக்சேயின் வெற்றி நிச்சயமாக அவன் பலத்தை மட்டுமே நம்பி பெற்றதல்ல என்பதற்கு இந்த நபர் ஒரு எடுத்துக்காட்டு. கருணாவிலிருந்து டெக்கான் வரை ஒரு துரோகப் பாரம்பரியம் இருப்பதை நினைக்கும் போது அதிர்ச்சியே மிஞ்சுகிறது. மேலும் டெக்கானின் செயல்பாடு போருக்குப் பிந்தைய ராஜபக்சேவின் அஜண்டாவில் ஒன்றாக இருக்கவும் வாய்ப்பு உள்ளது. அது ஈழ மக்கள் கூடுமிடங்ககளிலும் உரையாடுகையிலும் புலிகளை மூர்க்கத்தனமாக தாக்கிப் பேசுவதன் மூலம் எஞ்சியிருப்பவர்களை உளவியல் ரீதியாக தாக்கி அழிப்பதும், அதன் மூலம் விடுதலைப் போராட்ட நியாய‌த்தை நீர்த்துப் போகச் செய்வதும் ராஜப்பக்சேவுக்கு தேவைப்படுகிற ஒன்று. கருப்பின மக்களை ஆதிக்கம் செய்த அய்ரோப்பியர்கள் ஆப்பிரக்கர்கள் குறித்து புனைந்தவற்றை நினைவு கூர்க. ஆப்பிரிக்கர்கள் மனிதக் கறி தின்பவர்கள்[cannibals] என்று பொய்யுரைத்தார்கள் வெள்ளையின வெறியன்கள். இந்த திருப்பணியையே டெக்கான் ஈழப்பிரச்சினையில் செய்து வருகிறார். புலிகளை எதிர்த்தால் சிங்கள இனவெறியை ஆதரிப்பதாக ஆகுமா? என்று கேள்வியெழுப்புகிறவர்கள் அந்த் கேள்வி வழங்கும் சுதந்திரத்தையும், ஆபத்தையும் சேர்த்துப் பரிசீலிக்க வேண்டுகிறேன்.

  உண்மைகளை எதிர்கொள்ள முடியாத முதுகெலும்பில்லாத சுகதேவ் என்ற புலிப்பினாமி மீண்டும் அவதூறுகளை அள்ளி வீசுகின்றது. தன்னை விமர்சிப்பவர்களை, எதிர்ப்பவர்களை எல்லாம் வெள்ளைப் புலி, கறுப்புப் புலி, சிங்களப் புலி என்று பட்டம் சூட்டி மகிழும் ராஜபக்ஷேவுக்கும் சுகதேவுக்கும் இடையில் என்ன வேறுபாடு? ராஜபக்ஷே தான் சுகதேவ். சுகதேவ் தான் ராஜபக்ஷே. நிர்வாணமாக தான் யார் என இனங்காட்டும் சுகதேவ் தான் ஒரு தமிழ் இன உணர்வாளர் என்பது போல படம் காட்டுகின்றார்.

இலங்கையில் தற்போது வாழும் குறிப்பாக வன்னியிலிருந்து வெளியேறிய மூன்று லட்சம் மக்களின் எண்ண ஓட்டங்களுக்கும் அவர்களின் விருப்புக்களுக்கும் இலங்கைக்கு வெளியே புலம்பெயர்ந்திருக்கின்ற எங்களது எண்ண ஓட்டத்திற்கும் இடையில் நிரவமுடியாத பாரிய இடை வெளியொன்று எப்போதோ விழுந்துவிட்டது. ஈழம் சுயநிர்ணயம் அடிப்படை உரிமைகள் என்பனவெல்லாம் நமது பேச்சாயிருக்க குந்த ஒரு நிலம்.. குடிக்கக் கொஞ்சம் தண்ணீர் முடிந்தால் கொஞ்சம் சோறு உயிரோடு விடிகின்ற அடுத்த நாட்காலை என்பது அவர்களின் அதிகூடிய எதிர்பார்ப்பாகியது. அந்த தவிர்க்கவியலாத நிலையை நாம் விளங்கிக் கொள்ளவில்லை. விளங்கிய பலர் வெளிச்சொல்லவில்லை நானுட்பட..

கடந்த திங்கட்கிழமை, செட்டிக்குளம் முகாமிலிருந்து வவுனியா வைத்திய சாலைக்கு வந்த மச்சாளுடன் பேசினேன். அவர் தனது குழந்தைகளுக்காக வந்திருந்தார். பார்க்கச் செல்லும் நபர்கள் செல்பேசியூடு தொடர்புகளை அவ்வப்போது ஏற்படுத்துகிறார்கள். மச்சாள் தனதிரண்டு பிள்ளைகள் உயிரோடிருப்பது குறித்து பறாளாய் முருகனிலிருந்து புதுகுடியிருப்பு முருகன் வரை நன்றி சொன்னாள். மரணஅறிவித்தல் சொல்வதுபோல அவள் சாவுகளை வரிசைப்படுத்திக்கொண்டிருந்தாள். உனக்குத் தெரியும்தானே.. வேலுமாமா.. வெளிக்கிட்டு வாறநேரம் செல்விழுந்து அந்தஇடத்திலேயே சரி.. பாப்பாவையும் பிள்ளையளையும் நாங்கள் எவ்வளவோ இழுத்துபாத்தம். பாப்பா பிரேதத்தை விட்டுட்டு வரமாட்டன் எண்டு அதிலையே இருந்து அழுதுகொண்டிருந்தா. பிள்ளைகளும்தான். நாங்கள் என்னசெய்யிறது. விட்டிட்டு வந்திட்டம். அவவும் செத்திருப்பா.. பிள்ளையளும்தான்…

மச்சாள் தொடர்ந்துகொண்டேயிருந்தாள். நான் ம் மட்டும் கொட்டிக்கொண்டிருந்தேன். அந்தக்கோயில் வைச்சிருந்த ஐயாடை உடம்பே கிடைக்கல்லை.. மனிசிக்கு கால் இல்லை. தண்ணி அள்ள வெள்ளைக்கேட் காணியில இருந்து வாற கண்மணி ஆட்களை தெரியும்தானே.. அந்த குடும்பமே இல்லை.. அவரில்லை. இவ இல்லை.. அவர்கள் இல்லை என மச்சாள் சொல்லிக்கொண்டே இருந்தாள். மரணங்கள் எத்தனை தூரம் மரத்துப்போன ஒரு விசயமாகி விட்டது அவளுக்கு.

இறுதியில் நான் ம் கூடகொட்ட முடியாத ஒரு கேள்வியை அவள் கேட்டாள். உங்கட தலைவர் ஆறுமாசத்துக்கு முதலே சரணடையிற முடிவை எடுத்திருந்தால் எவ்வளவு சனம் தப்பியிருக்கும்..

எப்படி இந்தப் பிரிவு ஏற்பட்டது.. ? புலம்பெயர்ந்த நாம் யாருக்காக போராடினோம்?

முகாம்களில் அடுத்த இரண்டு மூன்று ஆண்டுகளுக்கு தங்களைத் தொலைக்கப்போகிற உறவுகளுக்கு என்ன சொல்ல முடியும்..? இதோ.. இங்கே மீளவும் exil government புறநிலை அரசு சுயாட்சிக்கான அழுத்தம்.. தமிழீழ தனியரசிற்கான தேர்தல் (அதுமட்டுமல்ல.. மீளவும் போராளிகளை பலப்படுத்தி ஈழத்தை அடைவோம் என்கிற இரக்கமற்ற கதைகளும் கூட) என அடுத்த காட்சிகளுக்கான மேடைகள் தயார் செய்யப்படுகின்றன. இவை தேவை அல்லது தேவையற்றவை என்பதை தெளிவாக அறிவித்துவிடுங்கள். நாம் வெறும் 4 மில்லியன்களே உள்ள தனித்த இனம். வேறெவரும் அற்ற இனம். ஆறுகோடி தொப்புள் கொடி என்பதெல்லாம் ச்சும்மா.. அந்த ஆறுகோடிப்பேரில் நாம் சிலருக்கு பெரும் சோகமாக இருந்தோம். சிலருக்கு பெரும்தொல்லையாக . சிலருக்கு நோ கமன்ட்ஸ் ஆக.. சிலருக்கு வியாபாரமாக .. அவர்களில் எமக்காக அழுபவர்களின் கண்ணீரை நாமே துடைத்துவிட வேண்டியிருப்பதுதான் உண்மை நிலவரம். அதை விடுத்து ஆறுகோடி பேரை வைத்து எதையாவது செய்யமுடியும் என யோசிக்கத் தொடங்கினால் – அந்தக் கணமே அவ் நினைப்பைத் தூக்கியெறிந்துவிட்டு சிங்களவர்களோடு கை கோர்த்துக் கொள்ளுங்கள்.

கே.பி என்றழைக்கப்படும் செல்வராஜா பத்மனாதனின் அரசியற் பிரவேசமும் புலிகளின் சர்வதேச அரசியற் பிரிவின் புதிய உருவாக்கமும் முக்கியத்துவம் பெறுகின்றன.

பிரித்தானிய இன்ரபோல் உளவு அமைப்பினால் தீவிரமாகத் தேடப்படுகின்ற இவர், தகவற் தொழில் நுட்பம் வளர்ச்சியடைந்த இன்றைய சூழலில், தமிழீழ விடுதலைப் புலிகள் என்ற, சர்வதேசச் சட்டங்களால் தடைசெய்யப்பட்ட அமைப்பின் பிரதிநிதியாக வெளிப்படையாக இயங்குவது எப்படிச் சாத்தியமானது என்ற வினாக்களெல்லாம் தொக்கி நிற்க, மேலும் பல சந்தேகங்களும் விடைகாணப் படாதவையாகவே அமைந்துவிடுகின்றன.

    சுகதேவ், அறிவுடைநம்பி,…… டெக்கான் வைக்கும் வாதத்திற்கு மட்டும் பதில் சொல்வது சரியாக இருக்கும். மாறாக அவரை ராஜபக்ஷேவின் கைக்கூலி, ஓநாய் என்றெல்லாம் முத்திரை குத்தி பேசுவது எந்த விதத்திலும் நியாயமில்லை. டெக்கான் ஈழப்போராட்டத்தின் பின்னடைவிற்கு புலிகளே பிரதானமான காரணம் என்று கருதுகிறார். அப்படி அவர் கருதுவதற்கும் பேசுவதற்கும் உரிமையில்லையா, என்ன? ஆகவே எவ்வளவு சூடாக விவாதம் போனாலும் தனிப்பட்ட முறையில் இப்படி தாக்கி எழுதுவது ஏற்புடையதல்ல. பரிசீலித்து மாற்றிக் கொள்ளுமாறு கேட்டுக்கொள்கிறோம்.

சுகதேவ், அறிவுடை நம்பி என்ற அறிவுக் கொழுந்துகளே. வினவின் இந்தப் பதிவில் புலிகளை பற்றி மட்டும் அலசப்பட்டுள்ளது. புலிகளைப் பற்றி உங்களுக்கு தெரிந்த நல்லது கெட்டவற்றை கூறுங்கள். அதை விடுத்து புலிகளைப் பற்றி வாதித்தால், ராஜபக்ஷேவை பற்றி பேசவில்லை என்று கேட்பதும். ராஜபக்ஷவை பற்றி விவாதித்தால் புலிகளைப் பற்றி பேசவில்லை என்று கேட்பதும் விதண்டாவாதம். உங்கள் நடத்தை தான் உங்களைப் போன்ற மோசடிப் பேர்வழிகளை இனங்காட்டுகின்றது. இதிலே தமிழ் உணர்வாளர் என்று தனக்கு தானே பட்டம் வேறு. ஆண்டவா தமிழர்களை சுகதேவ் போன்ற மோசடிக்காரர்களிடம் இருந்து காப்பாற்று.

வினவு மற்றும் நண்பர்களுக்கு,
நண்பர் அறிவுடைநம்பியின் கருத்துக்களுடன் எனுடைய நிலையையும் தெளிவாக்குகிறேன். தனிநபர் தாக்குதலில் எனக்கு ஆர்வமில்லை. புலிகள் மீதான விமர்சனங்களுக்கு கண்ணை மூடுபவனோ, காதைப் பொத்துபவனும் நான் இல்லை. புலிகள் குறித்து வைக்கப்படும் விமர்சனங்களை பரிசீலிப்பவனும் கூட. யாழ் பல்கலைக்கழக பேராசிரியர் ராஜனி திரணகமவின் படுகொலை குறித்த செய்தியின் பதிவை ‘புதிய கலாச்சாரத்தில்’ படித்த போது என் நெஞ்சு பதறவே செய்தது. இன்றைய சூழ்நிலையை மறந்து புலி எதிர்ப்பை மேற்கொள்வதில் உடன்பாடில்லை. ராஜபக்சே ஆதரவு நிலை கொண்ட சர்வதேச, இந்திய, தமிழகச் சூழலில் புலி எதிர்ப்பை உக்கிரப் படுத்துவது நிச்சயமாக ராஜபக்சேவுக்கு செய்யும் சேவகம் அன்றி வேறல்ல. ராஜபக்சேவின் போர்க்குற்றங்கள், இன அழிப்புக் கொலைகள் இவற்றுடன் புலிகளின் தவறுகளை ஒப்பீடு செய்து புலி எதிர்ப்புக்கு சரியான விகிதாச்சாரம் அளிப்பது மட்டுமே நேர்மையான விமர்சன அணுகுமுறையாக இருக்க முடியும். மேலும் போரில் மரணமடைந்த புலிகளின் கல்லறைகளின் மீது கல்லெறிவது செத்தப்பாம்பை அடித்து வீரத்தைக் காட்டுவதற்கு ஒப்பானது. புலிகள் மீது தனிப்பட்ட முறையில் ஏதேனும் அபிமானம் இருக்கிறதா என்று யோசிக்கையில் ஒன்று மட்டுமே இருக்கிறது. அது அவர்கள் மரணத்தை எதிர்கொண்ட முறை. ஒரு இராணுவக் கண்ணோட்டத்தில் போரில் உயிரை விடுவது ஒன்றும் பெரிதல்ல. ஆனால் ஒரு போரை அதன் இறுதி வரை வழிநடத்தி, போரின் மொத்த கால அளவிற்கும் எதிரியிடம் மண்டியிடும், சரணடையும் வாய்ப்புகளை நிராகரித்து, விடுதலைப் போரின் நியாயத்தை அடுத்த தலைமுறைக்கு விட்டுச் சென்ற புலிகள் என் மனதில் சாதாரண இந்த புலி எதிர்ப்பாளர்களை விடவும் உயர்ந்தே நிற்கிறார்கள். விடுத்லைப்புலிகள் சரியில்லை என்று கருதும் டெக்கான், சோபா சக்தி, அ,மார்க்ஸ் போன்றோர் மக்கள் போராட்டங்கள் எவற்றின் மீதும் நம்பிக்கையோ, நேசமோ இல்லாதவர்களே.
புலிகள் பற்றிய கதைகள், ‘இருக்கிறதா, இல்லையா, நம்புவதா, வேண்டாமா’ என்று மக்களைப் பீதிக்குள்ளாக்கும் ஆவிகளைப் போல நமது சூழலை மிரட்டிக் கொண்டேயிருக்கிறது. எதை நம்புவது, எதை நம்பாமல் விடுவது என்றக் குழப்பம் வேறு எவரையும் போல எனக்கும். என்ன வசவுகளால் என்னைத் திட்டித் தீர்த்து தனது சந்தர்ப்பவாததை மூடி மறைக்க டெகான் நினைத்தாலும் அது தனது தலையை மட்டும் மணலில் புதைக்கும் நெருப்புக் கோழியின் வீண் முயற்சியாக மட்டுமே இருக்கும். டக்கான் தனது கருதுக்களை இலங்கை இராணுவத்திடமிருந்தே வாங்கி விற்கிறார். முகாமில் இருக்கும் ஈழத்தமிழர்கள் சாதிப் பாராட்டுகிறார்கள் என்று அரசாங்க அதிபரின் கூற்றைக் குறிப்பிடுகிறார். இதற்கு மேல் வேறென்ன வேண்டும் அவர் தன்னைத் தானே அம்பலப்படுத்துவதற்கு. பூனைக் குட்டித் தான் வெளியே குதித்து விட்டதே. இங்கே, குஜராத்தில் இருக்கும் முசிலிம்கள் நிலையைப் பற்றி மோடி சொல்வதை மேற்கோள் காட்டி வாதிடும் ஒருவருக்கு ஆர்.எஸ்.எஸ் சார்பு இருக்காது என்றும் அதனை விசாரிப்பது தவறு என்றும் வினவு நினைக்கிறதா? என்னைப் பலவந்தமாக புலி ஆதரவுப் பட்டியலில் சேர்க்க முயற்சிக்கும் டெக்கான், புலி எதிர்ப்பாளர்கள் அனைவரையும் எனக்கு எதிராகப் பேச வைக்கும் மலிவான யுத்தியைக் கையாளுகிறார். அது குறித்து எனக்கு கவலையில்லை. முதலில் தனி நபர் தாக்குதலில் இறங்கியவரே இவர் தான். என்னை புலிப் பினாமி என்றும் ராஜபக்சே என்றும் பேசி தனது அரிப்பைத் தீர்துக் கொண்டார். என்னுடைய மற்றும் நண்பர் அறீவுடைநம்பியின் பதிவுகளுக்கு பிறகு வினவிடம் நியாயம் கேட்டார். வினவின் கருத்துக்களை தனக்கு ஆதரவானது என்று நினைத்துக் கொண்டு என்னை மறுபடியும் மோசடிக்காரன் என்று குறிப்பிட்டுள்ளார். இவை என்னை சலனப்படுத்தப் போவதில்லை. டெக்கானைப் பற்றிய எனது முந்தைய ஸ்கேன் ரிப்போர்ட் இவர் யார் என்று புரிந்து கொள்ள முயற்சிப்பவர்களுக்கு எப்போதும் உதவியாக இருக்கும் என்ற நம்பிக்கையில் இத்துடன் அவரைப் பற்றிப் பேசுவதை நிறுத்திக் கொள்கிறேன்.

சுகதேவ் ஈழத்தமிழர்கள் பட்ட துன்பங்கள், துயரங்கள் பற்றி உங்களுக்கு எதுவுமே தெரியாது. உங்களது கவலை எல்லாம் புலிகளின் நற்பெயருக்கு களங்கம் வரக்கூடாது என்பது தான். எவராவது தமிழர்களை புலிகளும் கொடுமைப் படுத்தினார்கள் என்று சொன்னால் போதும். உடனே கொதித்தெழுந்து இலங்கை இராணுவத்திடம் வாங்கி விற்பதாக அவதூறு செய்ய கிளம்பி விடுகின்றீர்கள். உங்கள் நெஞ்சைத் தொட்டு சொல்லுங்கள். எப்போதாவது ஈழத்தில் மக்களோடு மக்களாக வாழ்ந்திருக்கிறீர்களா? புலி ஆதரவாளர்கள் பரப்புரை செய்யும் பக்கச்சார்பான கதைகளை மட்டும் உண்மை என்று நம்புகின்றீர்கள். ஈழத்தில் நடந்த உண்மைகள் தெரியத் தேவை இல்லை என்கிறீர்கள்.

இதனைச் சுட்டிக் காட்டினால், காழ்ப்புணர்ச்சியோடு விமர்சனம் செய்வதாகச் சொல்கிறீர்கள். இந்து, சோ, தினமலம் போன்றவையும் உம்மைப் போன்றே கேள்விக் கேட்பவர்களை தாக்குகிறார்கள்.

புலிகளை நம்பி தொலைத்த புலிவிசுவாசிகளே நீங்கள் ஒருதரமாவது மூளைக்கு வேலை கொடுத்திருந்தால் இந்த கூட்டங்களை அடையாளம் கண்டிருக்கலாம். அல்லது மூன்று லட்சத்திற்க்கு மேற்ப்பட்ட தாயக மக்கள் எப்படிப்பட்ட சூழ்நிலையில் வாழ்கிறார்கள் என்பதையாவது தெரிந்து வைத்திருக்கலாம்…

வன்னி முகாம்களில் உள்ள மக்களை காரைநகரில் உள்ள கைவிடப்பட்ட வீடுகளில் மீளக்குடியமர்த்துவது பற்றிய யோசனையை முன்வைத்த போது உடனேயே எதிர்ப்புத் தெரிவிக்கப்பட்டது. ‘கண்ட கண்ட ஆட்களையும் எங்களின் வீடுகளில் இருத்தவோ?’ எனச் சிலர் முறுகியதாக செய்திகள் எட்டின. காரைநகரில் கைவிடப்பட்டுள்ள லண்டனில் வாழும் ‘உயர் சாதி’ இனரின் வீடுகளில் ஏனைய சாதிக்காரர்கள் குடியிருப்பதை தடுப்பதற்காகவா இந்த முயற்சி கைவிடப்பட்டதா?

ஆனால் ‘கையெழுத்து வைத்து இதனை எதிர்த்தவர்கள் பெரும்பாலும் காரையில் உள்ள தங்கள் வீடு வளவுகளில் ஏனைய சாதியினர் வந்துவிடுவார்கள் என்பதாலேயே எதிர்த்தனர். அதற்கு அவர்கள் வைக்கும் காரணங்கள் நொண்டிக் காரணங்களைக் கூறுகின்றனர்’ . ‘கையெழுத்து இட்டவர்கள் யார் என்ற பட்டியலை வெளியிட்டால் இந்த உண்மை வெளியே வந்துவிடும்’. புது றோட்டு – களபூமி என்று பிரிந்து நிற்கும் உயர் சாதி உப பிரிவுகள் இரண்டும் இந்த காரையில் உள்ள கல்வீடுகளில் வன்னி முகாம்களில் உள்ளவர்கள் குடியமர்த்தப்படுவதை கடுமையாக எதிர்ப்பதில் ஒன்றாகவே செயற்படுவதாகவும் குடியேற்றத் திட்டத்தை ஆதரிப்பவர்கள் தெரிவிக்கின்றனர்.
