சிறுபான்மையினர் கல்வி தருவதை எதிர்க்கும் உங்களை போன்ற போலி கம்யூனிஸ்டுகள் ஆச்சரியம் ஏற்படுத்தவில்லை.

உச்ச நீதிமன்ற உத்தரவுக்கும், தமிழ்நாட்டு சட்டத்துக்கும் மதிப்பளிக்காமல் மாணவர் அட்மிசனிலேயே தங்களது கொள்ளையை ஆரம்பிக்கும் தனியார் கல்லூரிகள் ஏராளமாக பெருகிவிட்டன. இவங்கெல்லாம் மாணவர்களுக்கு ஒழுக்கம் போதிக்கும் தொழில் செய்வதுதான் வேதனை…இதில் மூலைக்கு மூலை கல்லூரியில் விநாயகர், முருகன், கர்த்தர், மேரிமாதா சிலைகள் வேறு…கேவலம்…

தனியார் கல்லூரிகள் கேட்கும் பணத்தை மத்திய வர்க்கம் பெரும்பாலும், பலர் வாயை கட்டி, வயித்தைக் கட்டி, இன்னும் பலர் பல வகைகளில் கல்லாக்கட்டி பணம் கட்டிவிடுகிறார்கள்.

சமூகம் எக்கேடோ கெட்டுப்போகட்டும், நாம் முன்னாடி ஓடிப்போய் தப்பித்துவிடலாம் என்ற சுயநல சிந்தனையின் உளவியல் தான், இந்த மாணவனின் உளவியலையும் தீர்மானிக்கிறது. அதுவே தற்கொலைக்கும் அடிப்படையாகிறது.

கல்வி வியாபாரமாகிவிட்டதே! என்பதன் அபாயம் குறித்து, புலம்பல்களே அதிகம். அதை போராட்டமாக கட்டியமைத்து, எதிராக போராடுவது பற்றி சிந்திப்பதில்லை. மாறாக, இப்படிபட்ட அநியாயத்திற்காக போராடும் மக்களை ஏதோ அற்ப ஜீவிகளாக பார்க்கும் போக்கும் இருக்கிறது.

நாட்டில் உள்ள கல்வி நிறுவனங்கள் அனைத்தையும் அரசுடமையாக்க வேண்டும். கள்ளச்சாராயம் விற்பவனுக்கும் கல்வி வியாபாரம் செய்பவனுக்கும் வேறுபாடு இல்லை. கொள்ளையர்கள் பெரும்பான்மை சமூகமாக இருந்தால் என்ன? சிறுபான்மை சமூகமாக இருந்தால் என்ன? திருடன் திருடன்தான்.

நான் இந்தாளின் கல்விக்கூடங்களில் ஒன்றில் படித்தவன் தான். இவரும் இவரின் மாப்பிள்ளைகளும் செய்யும் அராஜகங்களில் சிலதைப்பார்த்தவன், அனுபவித்தவன். யாருக்க்கும் மரியாதை இல்லை. பேராசிரியர்கள் லெக்சரர்கள் ஏன் பிரின்சி கூட பம்மி பம்மித்தான் காலத்தை ஓட்டுவார்கள். லேப் அஸிஸ்டெண்ட்ஸ் நிலமை கூட மோசம்தான். தொழில்னுட்பம் தெரிந்த அவர்கள், சுதந்திரனாளுக்கு தேசியக்கொடி நட மண்ணை தோண்டும் வேலை கூட செய்வார்கள். மற்ற கல்லூசிகள் எல்லாம் கொஞ்சம் பரவாயில்லை தான், சுதந்திரம் என்று வரும் போது.

ஆனால் பெற்|றோர்களைத்தான் சொல்லவேண்டும், படிக்காத பிள்ளையயும் படிக்க வைக்கும் கல்லூரி, பெண்களுக்கு ’பாதுகாப்பான’ கல்லூரி என்று போய் அவர்கள் விழும் வரை கல்லூரிடின் கல்லாவும், சேப்பீயாரின் திமிரும் குறைய வாய்ப்பில்லை

சகோதரரே, எதர்கெடுத்தாலும் ஏன் கமலை இழுக்கிரீர்கள்? அவர் கலைஞரை ஆதரிப்பது போல பேசினாலும் அது இலக்கியவாதி கலஒஞருக்க்கு மட்டும் தான். அரசியல்வாதி கலைஞருக்கு அல்ல. அதிபோல அவர் சேப்பீயார் கல்லூரியில் படப்பிடிப்பு நடத்துவது பட்டம் பெறுவதால் அவர் சேப்பீயாருக்கு ஆதரவு என்று எப்படி முடிவு செய்தீர்கள். நிச்சியம் அவர் இந்த விஷயத்தில் மௌனம் தான் காப்பாரே தவிர ஆதரித்து பேச மாட்டார்.

இந்த ஒரு மாணவருக்கு ஏற்பட்ட நிலையை மட்டும் வைத்து ஒரு கலலூரியை எடை போடுவது சரியா ? இதே கல்லூரியில் நன்றாக படித்து நல்ல நிலையில் உள்ள எத்தனையோ மாணவர்கள் இருப்பார்கள். அதைப்பற்றி ஏன் யாரும் பேசுவதில்லை . இந்த கல்லூரியைப் பற்றி தெரிந்தும் பெற்றோர்கள் தங்களது பிள்ளைகளை நன்கொடை கொடுத்து சேர்க்க விரும்புவது ஏன்? அப்போது மட்டும் கல்லூரியின் கட்டுப்பாடுகள் பற்றி தெரியாதா? இது போன்ற விசயங்கள் நடைபெறாமல் இருப்பதற்கு பெற்றோர்களின் கண் காணிப்பும், அரவணைப்பும் வழிகாட்டுதலும் மாணவர்களுக்கு தேவை…

ஜேப்பியாரை வாயைச் சுத்தப்படுத்திய புதிய ஜனநாயக தொழிலாளர் சங்கம் மென்மேலும் உறுதிப்பட வாழ்த்துக்கள்.

நீங்கள் பாப்பார கும்பல் என்று தற்போதுதான் அறிந்துகொண்டேன்.

தனியார் மருத்துவக்கல்லூரிகளின் கல்வி பங்களிப்பு ஒரு கிளைக்கதை. உடையார், ஜெகத்ரட்சகன் போன்ற “சான்றோர்களின் கல்விப்பணி” இந்த நேரத்தில், குறைத்து மதிப்பிடமுடியாது.

மதம் என வரும்பொழுது, ஜேப்பியாரும் கிருத்துவனாகி விடுகிறான். அதற்கு கிருத்துவத்தை சார்ந்த ஒருவர் வக்காலத்து வாங்குகிறார். மதம் எவ்வளவு பெரிய அயோக்கியனை கூட காப்பாற்றுகிறது. மதம் பெரிய விசயம் தான்.

I want to share some comments with you regarding my college since i was a X student of St. Josephs Engineering college.
Note : I want to make you clear that the below given comments are not opposing ur Blog or not supporting my college but still i want to give soem point s which may be fewer than your complaints but still i want to make you know how me a middle class family student finished my Engg successfully
1. I also joined as a management student giving only 1 lak rupee though we din have any reference in that college and i heard the max was 7 lax for some courses which was the same in most of the good going private colleges.
2. My parents selected that college though we were from a normal middle class family just becuase the college was very strict and yes most of the parents did the same for the same reason.
3. Regarding college exams they don give us Internal marks(20) as such as other colleges do we have to study hard and gain more marks nearly 90 per in each mid sem test till model to get the full 20 marks.That made all the students automatically study during the whole sem which made us perform well in the Semester exams too.
4.They never punish people who never do mistakes. I have seen them punishing that is giving OD (Office Duty) mostly to students who break the rules both boys and girls. I felt like i was still studying in my school thats it.
5.Talking about the food we can feel like heaven we will have all varities all six days with ice creams too!!!! it might sound funny while i talk about the food but it is real. Since i was a nonvegetarian i enjoyed the most since we had non veg from mon to Thursday … Morning breakfast will also be given and tea during break time and tiffen if we need to stay till five in the evening . This is for the money we pay along with our fees. and same for buses too they had some 50 to 60 buses which will even go till chengalpet..
6.And to most they give Rs 25,000 every year for the acadamic merrit and sports persons in each year. Like if we are 120 students in our Dep first 12 people will bwe getting 25000 each. We always have the annauniversity rank even first rank holders when compared to toher colleges.
7.Last but not the least is our pleacment. They strive hard to place all the students in campus interviews. Some 500 out of 700.
I morn for the boy who died but if he had not done the mistake i promise he would have been one of the shining student since i heard he was a 80 per holder. Management must not have behaved in such a way.
I still want to make it clear i din support my collge but still i want to tell about my college since i also joined the college with a long face and wheni came out with smiling once i finished.

மிகத் துணிச்சலான பதிவு ,நான் அங்கு செயின்ட் ஜோசெப் கல்லூரி கட்டுமானத்தில் வேலை பார்த்திருக்கிறேன்,மூன்று வருடம்.அந்த நவீன கண்ணாடி கட்டிடங்கள்.அருகிலேயே பொருந்தாத ஜேப்பியாரின் ஆட்டு மூளை வடிவமைத்த டோம்கள்.இவன் யாரையாவது பிடிக்கவில்லை என்றால் அவரை முதல் முறை ஆபிஸ் வரச்சொல்லி மோர் கொடுப்பான்,அத்துடன் இவன் கண்ணில் படக்கூடாது.
ஆனால் பஸ் டிரைவர்களை ரொம்ப உத்தமர்களாக சித்தரிக்காதீர்கள்,
சரியான உளவாளிகள்.
காதல் துரோகிகள்.ஒரு மாணவனையும் நிம்மதியாக கடலை போட விடமாட்டார்கள்.

வீண் பழி சுமத்தி மாணவர்களை அழ வைப்பார்.எத்தனையோ மாணவர்கள் சொல்லனாத் துயரை அனுபவித்துள்ளனர்.
ஜெப்பிய்யாரை அந்த இயேசு என் இன்னும் ஒன்னும் செய்யவில்லை?என்று ரொம்ப ஆச்சர்யமாக உள்ளது..
சிவாஜி படத்தில் வரும் சுமன் பாத்திரம் தான் இந்த கயவன்.
ராமாபுரத்தையே சுடுகாடாக்கிய கபோதி.
இவன் இறக்குமதி பென்ஸ் 2002 ஆம் ஆண்டே 1 கோடி ருபாய் ,
செயின்ட் ஜோசெப் கல்லூரி இவன் மருமவன் பாபு மனோகரனின் சொத்து.
இவன் பணத்தாசை மட்டும் விடவே விடாது..
அய்யா நீங்கள் எத்தனையோ சாவுகளை விட்டு விட்டீர்கள்.
மாணவர்கள் அன்டித்தனம் செய்தால் சேரி ஆட்களை விட்டே வம்பு செய்ய சொல்லி செட் அப் செய்து மரண அடி அடிப்பான்.
தன்னிடம் படிக்கும் பெண்களில் அழகானவர்களை தேர்ந்தெடுத்து படிப்பு முடிந்ததும்
இவனே வேலை கொடுப்பான் ,பின் வைப்பாட்டி வேலை செய்ய ஆசை காட்டுவான்.அவர்களது சான்றிதழ்களை எப்போதும் கொடுக்கவே மாட்டான்.போலீஸ் பாவம் (எத்தனை முறை தான் வாழ்க்கையில் பணிமாற்றம் காண்பார்கள்)இது வரை எத்தனயோ பெண்களின் வாழ்க்கையை பாழாக்கியுள்ளான்.
இவன் நடித்த படம் ஒன்று அடிக்கடி சன் டீவியில் போடுவார்கள்.
கூட்டிக்கொடுத்தவன் எல்லாம் கல்வித்தந்தை,உண்மையிலேயே இவன் களவித்தந்தை.
ஆமாம் ஏன் பெந்தகொஸ்தே காரர்கள்,மிகவும் கீழ்த்தரமான செயல்களில் ஈடுபடுகின்றனர்?மகா முன் கொபிகலாகவும் உள்ளனர்.

I want to clarify certain points; I am also an ex student of St. Joseph’s. I passed out in 2002. First I will tell all the rules and regulations of my college when I was studying. (Now the rules must have increased no chance to decrease).

1. We should definitely pin our id cards in the dress. If we forget and even if we say it is in bag it will not be accepted. Forgetting is a biggest sin. If we wear over coat during Electronics / Computer / Chemical Lab, we should take out the ID & wear it over the coat. After the lab, we have to remove the ID card from over coat & wear it over our dress.

2. Boys should be clean shaven. Beard not allowed. Muslim & Sikh students should get prior permission from college by giving letter from parents during the admission time itself. My professor for Engineering Drawing during 1st year warned the boys during semester exam time, especially regarding shaving because Engineering Drawing is last exam in 1 st year and if boys forgot to shave because of exam tension and if the checker’s caught them he will not be allowed to write exams even if it is university exam. If all the exams are not cleared in 1 st attempt and even if the boy secures 99 % in second attempt he will be given only FIRST CLASS NOT FIRST CLASS DISTINCTION. He will also be barred from campus interviews because he had Arrears. That professor warned because one incident was happened to a guy prior to us.

3. Sports shoes are not allowed for boys. Slippers not allowed for boys. They should wear only shoes that too polished and clean.

4. Growing hair & pony tail and all are not accepted for boys.

5. Boys and girls not allowed talking to each other, though studying in same class. (Even lecturers of opposite sex will not speak much together).

6. Seniors & juniors should not talk. Especially seniors should not talk to 1st years. Even asking names is strictly warned.

7. Dress code:
Boys – t-shirts / jeans not allowed. Only formal that too light color shirt only allowed. Boys should tuck-in their shirts neatly. They should wear all the top buttons.
Girls: chudidhar with dupatta pinned on both side to the dress or sari.

8. Mobile phones & I pods are not allowed inside college / hostel.

9. Everyone should carry notebook for all the subjects to take down notes in class according to the time table. All the notebooks will be given in college during semester starting. Everyone should take notes in class. Forgetting any notebook rarely is also a big sin.

10. Everyone should bring calculators. Forgetting rarely is also a big sin.

Checkers will do rounds (checking) during classes, they will catch you if you did not wear ID card and even if we tell, madam I am having it but it is in bag, they will snatch the ID card and give it in office.

If we did not wear ID card, one point per day will be deducted.

Per semester totally you can avail 12 points including leave. If it exceeds more than 12 points you have to bring your parents and also you have to pay Rs. 100 / 500 per point for the extra points exceeding 12.
If you are putting leave for any function means you should inform them already with leave letter with parent’s signature. For one day with pre information one point will be deducted.

If you inform after 1 day leave for sickness, you should inform with parent’s signature and medical certificate. Then only 1 point otherwise without medical certificate it will be 2 points. You must produce a letter for leave with parent’s signature for leave. A letter will be sent to parents address if you have taken leave even if you have submitted Leave letter with parent’s sign and Medical Certificate. Just to avoid bogus signatures of parents.

For each and every year there will be year in charge in office. He will only look after all these ID CARDS / OFFICE DUTIES / LETTER TO PARENTS / MAINTAING POINTS.

For each and every block there will be block in charges. His job is to watch whether any boys and girls are talking together. He will excavate every one during lunch and he will lock the class room after lunch time only he will open in order to avoid boys and girls sitting and talking in the class room during lunch. He will check the gent’s toilets during breaks in order to check on smoking / mobile talking. Students used to bribe sometimes these block in charges for petty things.

For each and every mistake (not shaving / not wearing shoes / wearing jeans t shirts / forgetting calculator / ID card) of students their ID card will be snatched for their mistake and it will be given to the year in charge. To get back the ID cards from office we have to get sign from all the respective lecturers in all our subject note books.

Each and every lecturer will throng you with questions, why you are getting sign? What happened? What did you do? They may ask technical questions, verify the subject note book regarding the notes taken during class and then they will sign and put date. After getting sign in all note books we have to go and show to our year in charge. He will check all the notebooks and he will give it back to us the ID Card and Note books after warning and deducting 1 point if we submit the note books within that day or next day. Depends on how fast you are submitting the note books your point deduction will be less. It cannot exceed more than 2 days. After two days your parent’s will be called. You will be given office duty.

Office duty means standing in front of the office whole day without attending class. You have to only stand not sit in the corridor. During Lunch Time the year in charge will give permission so that the punished student can go for lunch. It’s better to bring the parents immediately to college to solve the problem if office duty is given. Some students will be afraid and they will not call. So they will be standing for days together. Even if parents come they will not be given due respect.

ALL STUDENTS SHOULD COME BY COLLEGE BUS ONLY. TWO WHEELERS / FOUR WHEELERS DROPPING OUTSIDE THE COLLEGE AND STUDENT’S WALKING INSIDE COLLEGE NOT ALLOWED.

HOME BREAKFAST / HOME LUNCH NOT ALLOWED. ALL STUDENTS SHOULD EAT ONLY IN COLLEGE.

In buses there will be a rope tied in the front after leaving 4 to 5 seats. Girls should get in & get out the bus through front only. Boys should get in and get out of the bus through back side only. All the girls and lady lecturers should sit in the front seats and the boys in the back seats. The arrangement will be like this, Girls, Lady Lecturers, Gents Lecturers, and Boys.

We should inform our Boarding point while admission itself. It will be printed in ID CARD. We should not change our boarding points during morning and evening also. One or two days we can inform the driver and travel, but if we travel regularly without boarding point change the driver will inform about us in office, then id card snatching, getting signature from lecturers, office duty, parents visit etc etc only happen.

If we want to change boarding point we should give letters from parents intimating the change of address and the boarding point. It will be changed in the ID CARD.
Boy’s girls should not talk in bus stops; there will be spies in the form of separate persons, lecturers, and drivers. There will be spies in malls, movie theaters and famous hotels.

For girls and boys staying in hostel, parents should send letter directly to their hostel / year in charge for taking leave during weekends. Letter given by students will not be accepted. So the students should plan well before inform their parents to send letter to office. After conforming from parents that they have sent that letter, they will wait for two to three days and will go to office and confirm whether the letter has come. After conforming in the office the letter has come, they will carry their hostel leave card and wait to see Mr. Jeppiar.

Without Mr. Jeppiar’s sign the hostilities will not be allowed out.

Of course he will be available most of the time in office; if he is not available they can wait till 7.30 pm to get sign. If it is more than 7.30 pm they have to return to hostel as study time is 8.00 pm – 9.00 pm.

Mr. Jeppiar will check the hostel leave card and the parent’s letter and sign in both hostel leave card and letter. It will be entered in the office ledger also. All parents letter will be preserved till the girl goes out of college. After getting sign from Jeppiar the girl should submit the hostel card to warden and then sign in a ledger in morning itself in the hostel and then she will come to college. After college she will go to railway station / bus stand / local guardian’s house by college bus. She has to sign again in hostel ledger after returning from vacation.

During festival times there will be big q standing in front of Jeppiar’s office to get sign (both Sathyabama & St. Joseph’s). At any cost girls are not allowed out, without Jeppiar’s sign.

Local guardians are dummy pieces. They cannot write leave letters to office.

Students cannot write leave letters themselves as both father and mother’s model hand written leave letter will be collected from both during hostel admission.

Computer printout leave letter & simply signature will not be allowed.

House address, postal seal everything will be checked.

Parents will be sent letters regarding every semester results, holidays, if students had put leave even with parent’s leave letter, intimating regarding fees. They will clearly mention apart from this we are not collecting any other fees in the letter, and also advice parents not to give money to their children. Even if any fine is collected from students it will be intimated to parents.

Parents just love this college because of its attractive rules and regulations.

Safest college for boys and girls studying in Hostel, especially for Andhra, Kerala & NRI People.
Parents will be advised about not to give two wheelers till they complete college.

ADVANTAGES

IN MGR STYLE THEY USED TO FLATTER EVERY NEW COMER / PARENT BY ASKING “HAD FOOD MADAM? / HAD FOOD SIR? , COME LET US EAT FIRST AND THEN WE CAN TALK.”

DISADVANTAGES – DURING 1998 – 2002

No proper roads. We were unable to walk during rainy season. Whole college will be slippery & shabby. Each block & labs will be very far and we suffered a lot.

College mess & food (not canteen that time it was a mess) during 1998 – 2000 was very poor. Only non vegetarian students enjoyed. That time ice creams were during only Tuesday / Thursday / Saturday. Vegetarian students used to have only sambar, rasam, vegetables all with full masala and garlic – too spicy.

Only during 2000 new mess / canteen building was opened. Then only they started putting lemon rice, coconut rice, tamarind rice…..and the food has become good.

Too much of ill treating of students with words for small petty mistakes like forgetting ID cards & all. Mostly the ill treating will be done by the year in charge/block in charge. Year in charge may be a degree holder but block in charges are mostly 10th pass / fail case. Don’t have any knowledge / humanitarian psychological views. The students will get annoyed by their activities. Some times these guys are more powerful than lecturers and professors.

I had never felt happy not even for a single day in college. I did not go to convocation. I wrote an authorization letter and gave to my mom and asked her to collect the degree certificate. I had not even attended single alumni function conducted by the college.

No guidance given regarding how to go about the in-plant training.

No proper guidance regarding final year projects. Selection of Topics, Industries. How many students will have parents in same industry or friends in companies to get permission for theirs children for doing projects?

Since girls cannot talk to boys and juniors not allowed to talk to seniors, for girls coming from rural background like me it was very difficult to find out an organization for doing projects. They did not have any collaboration with industries to send their students to in-plant trainings & projects.

Not many placements happened. May be due to IT down due to twin tower attack.

No counseling cells. Not given any consultation regarding higher studies, resume preparation, attending interviews, how to prepare for GRE, gate, non-gate, TOEFL, arithmetic / logical & reasoning written tests. I had attended only one program regarding communication skills.

Students are not encouraged to present papers in collages. Only the Top rankers are guided & responded. They are putting so many rules. They could have also made that every student must have attended at least 6 symposiums during the entire collage life.

They should have encouraged 2 & 3 year students to do mini projects combined together.

I did not even know about internet when I was out of college. I was introduced to internet & Microsoft Word by my friends only after coming out of college. I first prepared my bio data with the help of a person working in students Xerox. Then changed the format with the help of a friend. Learned how to use internet with the help of friends. Then searched job. I am not CSC OR IT Department. I am from an Agricultural family rural background.

No friendly atmosphere.

Every lecturer was expecting all the students to get full marks. Always imposing rules and regulations.

Not too many good lecturers too. Those who have passed out of Sathyabama and St. Joseph will be placed as lecturers and they will be encouraged to do ME in Sathyabama or Anna University.

Students coming from Tamil medium were tortured like anything. Mostly they will be hostilities only. The college can arrange some lecturers & some bright students to take care of them personally. But nothing like that was done. After so many years now only, I came to know that there is a book which explains about the English terminologies analogous to Tamil terminologies like Theorem means Thaettram in Tamil. The lecturers too did not know about availability of these types of books and there were no special classes for them. They struggled like anything and passed with just pass marks. Anna University should impose a strict rule to all collages to provide English coaching – providing books to understand English technical terminologies for students coming from Tamil medium.

Now I come to Anitha Josphine

Definitely not for IT/CSC/ECE/EEE – You must have chosen E&I / IC / Mech / Chemical. Now days there are ~ 350 Engg Collages in Tamil Nadu. Most of the seats not filled. So mostly now days the collages are not collecting donations. Instead they are getting fees Rs. 75,000 only for tuition per year. You have to pay extra for bus, food and hostel if you want to avail those facilities.

// Regarding college exams they don give us Internal marks(20) as such as other colleges do we have to study hard and gain more marks nearly 90 per in each mid sem test till model to get the full 20 marks.That made all the students automatically study during the whole sem which made us perform well in the Semester exams too. //

I studied in Madras University Pattern so no internal marks for theory. But I had internal marks for practical. Since Anna University Syllabus is too tough they might have handled this method. We too did have mid sem and models. If we fail in mid sem and model we have to attend coaching class. If we fail in more than three subjects we have to bring our parents. Then only they will hall ticket and allow us to write university exam. But for practical internals in our own department labs there will be partiality. Even if I do my observation, records, experiments correctly in model & final university exam & viva voice. I will not be given full internal marks it will be given to the top 5 students.

// They never punish people who never do mistakes. I have seen them punishing that is giving OD (Office Duty) mostly to students who break the rules both boys and girls. I felt like i was still studying in my school thats it. //

// Talking about the food we can feel like heaven we will have all varities all six days with ice creams too!!!! It might sound funny while i talk about the food but it is real. Since i was a nonvegetarian i enjoyed the most since we had non veg from mon to Thursday … Morning breakfast will also be given and tea during break time and tiffen if we need to stay till five in the evening. This is for the money we pay along with our fees. And same for buses too they had some 50 to 60 buses which will even go till chengalpet.. //

Already explained a lot. We did not have Tea during breaks. Only Breakfast and Lunch. If stayed after college hours there will be snacks and tea. As you told we are paying for it. This is not the service provided by college anitha. If they get all the groceries and Vegetables whole sale it will be dead cheap to them. Buses and Food are a convenience I agree, but we are paying for it and it also a nice tactic to attract students and parents. The college food will be very nice for Non Vegetarians. For Vegetarians whenever the kara kuzhambu is served we have to live with the curd rice & ice cream. If kara kuzhambu is served on non-ice-cream day we have to live with curd rice only. During my first years Rice and butter milk were served separately and the butter milk is nothing but water in white color. After the new mess buildings only they started to put it as curd rice. Since the kanchi in the rice and water in white colour butter milk mixed very well and with extra kothamalli, karugapillai, kadugu, carrot we were able to live with the curd rice. Definitely they should improve vegetarian food. I had lost all my hair & gained wait because of bad food. acquired lot of health problems.

//And to most they give Rs 25,000 every year for the acadamic merrit and sports persons in each year. Like if we are 120 students in our Dep first 12 people will bwe getting 25000 each. We always have the annauniversity rank even first rank holders when compared to toher colleges.//

Are they giving Rs. 25000 to the first 12/120 people in every class or are they giving only to Anna University Toppers? Anna University Toppers means the first 12 toppers in each department in each year in whole tamilnadu across various collages.

// Last but not the least is our placement. They strive hard to place all the students in campus interviews. Some 500 out of 700. //

Now only there is separate entrance for St. Joseph’s (previously sathyabama’s entrance), Separate Hostel for St. Joseph’s (previously Sathyabama hostel for girls), New Mess Building, New Library & Auditorium, AC LABS & classes are there. Previously this and all not there. AC Classes are mere waste. Think of students with asthma, wheezing patients?

This placement may be due to IT when it is in Peak. Can they do a similar placement now for all the departments? Do you know how much they have placed by this year.

I wonder how come u can tell “If he had not done the mistake” – We are humans and not a robot. We are prone to errors. Can you show a single man on earth who has not done any mistakes in his life? The wonderful punishment for a mistake will be making the student realize his mistake himself, not torturing by making him stand in front of 1000 and inducing him to attempt suicide. At last the Education is to create good human beings not technocrats who can write programs correctly in first attempt itself and earn money. After your death you are going to take anything. If your name has to in the universe for ever it is the actions done by you and your character only will lasts long.

What is the student going to get by logging in friend’s id and password during exam?
Definitely the both of them cannot be in same batch during exam because two people cannot enter the same password and user id at a time. If it can be entered means it is the college’s mistake for not having proven software. If his friend already completed the exam in previous batch / same batch the exam supervisor would have checked the program. Then the supervisor or internal should delete the programs after checking. They should have designed software which will NOT allow the user id again and again without the permission of the lecturer. Before university exams all the computers will be formatted and after checking our programs in computer our lecturers will delete our final program. They will also ask if we had done any other programs if we said yes and say that we did some trial programs that will also be deleted. Before each batch entering they will once again check all computers and delete all the programs.

no these practical exams are never an eyewash in st.Josephs. In all other collages (Mostly) the practicals will be supportive to students. But in st.Joseph’s it will be favorable to the system. They will even fail one two students if they did not perform well. There will be mild partiality in putting internal marks that’s all.

NOT TRUE TO SOME EXTENT. MAY BE WORKERS WORKING IN JEPPIAR INDUSTRIES MAY HAVE SUCH PROBLEMS. BUT THE BUS DRIVERS, SECURITIES, BLOCK & YEAR INCHARGES, CLEANERS, OFFICE IN CHARGES, MESS PEOPLES ALL WILL BE HAPPY. BECAUSE OF GOOD FOOD, SPACE TO LIVE ALONG WITH FAMILY, GOOD SALARY. GOOD SALARY BECAUSE MOST OF THEM ARE SPIES. THEY WILL SPY ON STUDENTS AND LECTURERS AND THEY WILL INFORM TO OFFICE IN CHARGES IF THE BOY AND GIRL TALK TOGETHER. BEFORE AND ALL THEY WERE GIVING BASED ON GOVT SCALE ONLY. NOW SATHYABAMA HAS BECOME DEEMED UNIVERSITY SO NOW THEY MIGHT NOT BE GIVING SALARY IN STANDARD FORMAT.

AT LEAST BY NOW VIVEGHAM SHOULD COME TO THE COLLAGE BECAUSE OF VIVEK 🙁
