வெறிக்கும் விழிகளும் உறிக்கும் பார்வைகளும்

Capitalism gave napkins,fridge,washing machine,dish washer,micro wave oven,ready made food,rumba robots,diaper,milk powder,contraceptives etc to women when it was afraid that modern women may not do household chores after their office work and that burden may come on the men.It has,from time immemorial, men would be ready to make the women as Gods (Example-Kannagi)Raman may not understand that Kannagi,was not happy when she was worshiped as “KARPUKKARASI”.She had lot of disappointments as an average woman.She was worshiped by men only because she silently lost her marital life without any murmur about the extramarital escapades of Kovalan.Shortly before his eventual death at Madurai only,Kovalan returned to Kannagi,leaving Madhavi,that too to persuade her to go to Madurai to start a new life by selling Kannagi’s silambu.The poor Kannagi had life long suffering.Kavignar Pralayan staged the play, “VANJIKKOTTAM”to highlight this particular aspect of Kannagi’s life.Raman may not know the real reason for Kovalan discarding Madhavi.Kovalan never liked Madhavi insisting on chastity by both men and women.
On the other hand,socialism has given the much wanted awareness and self-confidence to women.Capitalism exploits women by providing the modern gadgets.
In yesterday “The Hindu”(9-3-2017),I read about a woman (28 years)who resides at Kolkata.Her father expired even before her birth.Her mother,left for Mumbai to work,leaving her three months old baby with her grand mother.Even though they were platform dwellers,that grand mother was very particular about educating her grandchild.But,to meet both ends,this girl had to do rag picking on part time basis.The girl kept her rag picking a secret with her classmates.Whenever the secret was out,due to frustration she had to drop out of school.But,due to her determination,she completed schooling and also became a graduate.She was born Muslim and having married a Hindu,had to encounter the social stigma also.Usually,such people who come up in life from humble beginnings would forget their past.But this woman never forgets her past life with the platform dwellers.She became a social activist.She has assisted a local research team who are making a study on the platform dwellers.When the Hindu reporter interviewed her she said that she did not know much about “Women’s Day”.She wanted her three month old baby daughter to be more courageous than her to face the real life.

மிகவும் முதிர்ச்சியற்ற பேச்சு. தொழில்நுட்பம் வளர்ந்து விட்டதாலேயே பெண்களின் பிரச்சனை தீர்ந்து விட்டது என இவர் பேசுவது எப்படி இருக்கிறதென்றால், பணக்காரன் ஆகி விட்டால் போதும் பிரச்சனைகள் அனைத்தும் தீர்ந்து விடும் என்று சில முதிர்ச்சியற்ற ஜென்மங்கள் பேசுவதை போல் இருக்கிறது. ராமன் தக்காட்டும் முதலாளித்துவ நாடுகள் பெண்களுக்கு வெறும் மைக்ரோ அவன், வாஷிங் மெஷின், ப்ரிட்ஜ் போன்றவற்றை மட்டும் கொடுக்கவில்லை, இதனோடு சேர்த்து விபச்சாரத்தையும் தான் பரிசாக கொடுத்து விட்டு சென்றது. பெண்ணை பாலியல் பண்டமாகவும், நுகர்வு பொருளாகவும் மாற்றியதில் முதலாளித்துவத்தின் பெருமையை அவ்வளவு எளிதில் யாரும் விட்டு கொடுத்து விட முடியாது.

பெண்களுக்கு தேவை தொழில்நுட்பங்கள் மட்டுமல்ல, சுயமரியாதையும், கவுரவமும் தான். இந்த இரண்டையும் பெண்களுக்கு அளித்ததில் வேறு எந்த நாடுகளையும் விட சோஷலிச ருஷ்யாவும் சீனாவும் தான் முன்னணியில் நின்றன. என்னை கேட்டால் பெண்களுக்கான மிக பெரிய சாதனையாக அதனை தான் கூறுவேன்.
