Adani Namo Namaha!

The constant seizure of drugs in that port does not seem like a coincidence; doubts also arise as to whether Adani and the international drug mafia have a collusion; the upcoming days may answer this question!

In the recently concluded winter session of Parliament, Su Venkatesan, CPI(M) MP from Tamil Nadu, spoke about drug trafficking. He spoke about the seizure of expensive drugs like heroin, that was smuggled from abroad, at Adani’s Mundra port. Suddenly, the mic was turned off. This was an insult and no national media had condemned it.

If one thinks that what happened to Su Venkatesan during parliamentary debates, which usually happens to everyone, is because that the provided time limit is over, is wrong; his mic has been turned off just because he spoke about Adani. This is not the first time in the Parliament that the mic has been turned off and the right to freedom of speech has been snatched for speaking about Adani.

In the 2021 winter session of Parliament, the VCK MP Thol. Thirumavalavan exposed in detail about the drug smuggling that took place at Adani’s Mundra port. “The privatization of vital ports of the country, such as the Mundra port, is leading to such anti-national activities”, he alleged.

Replying angrily to his question, Nirmala Sitharaman said, “It is not justified to call a port, not just Mundra port, to be referred as Their Port using the name of industrialists whom one does not like”. Moreover, “You say drugs have come in through a privatised port, and you say that this is a danger to this country. I wish to humbly state that to speak this way is not good for the nation. Not only this, 16 kg of heroin were seized in Delhi”, she said. She absolutely supported Adani.

Forgetting that she is a Minister belonging to the ruling party, she said that drugs were seized even from public sector undertakings.

Thirumavalavan, who tried to respond to Nirmala Sitharaman’s allegations, was not given a chance to speak. For two or three minutes, he attempted to speak again; but the speaker did not even inform him of the denial of permission and humiliated him.

Drug trafficking at Adani’s port is not similar to the usual issue that the opposition parties accuse against the ruling parties; It is blatantly anti-national.

In September 2021, 3,000 kg of heroin worth ₹21,000 crore was seized at Mundra port. These were smuggled out of Afghanistan, which is ruled by the Islamic terrorists – the Taliban; In June 2021, 25,000 kg of heroin worth ₹1,75,000 crore entered India, Congress spokesperson Supriya Shrinate alleged; In July 2022 too, 75 kg of heroin worth ₹375 crore was seized.

The country’s largest port is being continuously used for drug trafficking. When questioned about this, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman averted by saying, “NIA is investigating”. Given that the trafficking continues even after the case has been registered makes us think that the NIA investigation is just an eyewash. They arrest some goons who get trapped while smuggling drugs, and conduct a namesake ‘trial’ so as to save Adani.

Officials from Anti-terrorist Squad (ATS) say that the drugs smuggled by the mafia gangs of countries such as Afghanistan, Pakistan and United Arab Emirates are being brought into Gujarat, and are transported to Punjab, and gets distributed across the country.

In 2018, it was estimated that India has 2.3 crore opioid users; this count has now increased manifold. India’s count is three times higher than the worldwide average. The youth form a significant proportion among those who are being ruined by drugs. North-eastern states like Mizoram, Nagaland, Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim have the highest consumption of drugs.

The BJP created an impression that strenuous efforts are being made to curb drug trafficking in these states; this is one of the reasons for BJP’s gain in influence in these regions. The reason that the BJP gave for extending the jurisdiction of the BSF in Punjab and West Bengal is drug trafficking.

The actions of the BJP in this Mundra port issue has exposed its ostensible disguise. On the other hand, Mundra port, located along the border, is India’s largest cargo port. The constant seizure of drugs in that port does not seem like a coincidence; doubts also arise as to whether Adani and the international drug mafia have a collusion; the upcoming days may answer this question!

Campaigns like ‘national security’ and ‘foreign threat’ are all tactics used by fascists to achieve their objectives. The ‘Chinese danger’ will come to the fore when they need it and they will remain mute on China when they don’t need it. During the current Parliamentary session, when most of the opposition parties raised their voice that the government should speak about ‘Chinese occupation’, the BJP leaders did not pay any heed to it. The saffron clique does not care about the nation; even Lord Rama is just a political tool for building a Hindu Rashtra.

Adani is their only Kaliyug hero whom they worship with all their heart; if so, can they tolerate if Adani is called a drug mafia? That’s why the saffron gang is raging!
